Everything was lovely but the staff were not very friendly and we were not informed about the £200 pound deposit we needed to put down or that we would be locked out of our room at 11am Would definitely stay again, but it would have been nice to have a tiny bit more info and customer service

I’ll start by saying the staff at the hotel are lovely, all very friendly. Special shouts to Clara who served us in Omboo and was just delightful, so friendly! And Sonam from the spa who gave the best facial I’ve ever had. The hotel has great potential. The interiors are beautiful, especially Omboo and the Octagon cocktail bar. Lovely ambience. Slight touches, like more unique and luxurious bins and hand towel baskets would really take things to the next level. The exterior of the hotel looked a bit tired in places, and didn’t match the care and attention that has obviously gone into the interiors. The food was lovely, especially in Omboo. In the Octagon bar, was a varied and unique selection of cocktails. Ultimately I think our stay was marred slightly by how busy it was. Not only a bank holiday weekend, but there appeared to be 3 weddings on across 2 days, and this really did negatively impact the levels of service received. The staff seemed under a lot of pressure and the hotel felt “too full”. To the hotels credit, when we spoke to them about our concerns, they rectified things straight away, and whilst this didn’t make up for there being issues in the first place, it did go a long way in ensuring we felt looked after. I feel if the hotel had not overstretched as much as it did this weekend, my review would have been a point higher - like I say, lovely staff, good food, and great potential!

The hotel was excellent, with some fantastic service. Whole team were customer focused. The restaurants served fantastic food and the rooms were very comfortable, with great beds and an excellent air conditioning which was very quiet! All in all I cannot praise enough. I also left some jeans and a charger by mistake which the conseirge shipped back to me free of charge. Definitely recommend!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Sopwell House Spa. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the spa itself is gorgeous with excellent amenities. I opted for access to the Club Spa, which was well worth it. Everything felt luxurious down to the complimentary slippers. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout my visit, making the experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Valerie, who was exceptional when assisting with my reservation and ensured everything was seamless from the start. Overall, a fabulous experience that I would highly recommend. I can’t wait to return!
