Safety Harbor Resort & Spa, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

It is an excellent place to weather the storms of life and take a much-needed sabbatical. A place to recover and close to downtown Tampa if needed for business.

Extremely outdated. Smells bad. Whoever owns it obviously doesn’t care about appearance, details, guest experience. They are just playing on the “history”. When you see rust and hallways smell bad and the employees have bad attitudes the history doesn’t impress you. I also left behind something in my room and the hotel’s response was completely *******. So many obvious signs this place is been poorly managed. Bad bad vibes. Stay away!!!

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa was an extreme let down. Definitely not a great honeymoon destination for younger couples. The hotel did not provide normal turn down service, and forced you to call before 10 am if you wanted it however even though we called before 10 am they still did not come and provide turn down service. The hotel is an insane maze, with over priced drinks, poor food choices, and non working accommodations. The night life downtown closes at 5 which isn’t mentioned and unless you rent a car you are forced to turn to Uber/lyft which becomes costly after a while. The hotel fixtures are extremely outdated, unclean with drains that are always backed up, or clogged. The one time they did provide them down service we had a personal item stolen from our room… Definitely don’t recommend even though it may be a cheaper option.

Stayed at this resort several times. The rooms were outdated and the steam room did not work. It definitely was not up to par as a Wyndham property. The restaurant had outstanding servers and the food was delicious! All of the people that worked there were great.

I love everything about spa. Great views, beautiful pool, fantastic restaurant and centrally located around all the other shops, restaurants and bars.

This hotel has a lot of character and charm. The pool area is very spacious and fun. Had a nice dinner with our dad here for Father’s Day and he loved it. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful. Room was very large as well. They had a Sunday brunch that we didn’t go to but it looked amazing. Very walkable to the downtown safety harbor area

Not the most modern place in the world (looks like it was last painted well before social media) but the location and bones are excellent. Watch the sun rise over Tampa, run along the shore, workout in the gym, recover in the sauna, sunbathe poolside, walk along Main for breakfast…

I just stayed at the Safety Harbor Resort for their 4-night Wellness Retreat. Starting with the reservation process through the whole retreat, staff were professional and accommodating. The numerous spa treatments were wonderful. The exercise classes were invigorating. The food was generous and tasty. The room was clean and attractive. The view from the balcony was lovely. Even the town of Safety Harbor is cute. Mary, the Wellness Coordinator who organizes the retreats, is knowledgeable, hospitable and accommodating. I felt spoiled.

Had a great stay at the resort. Very different from all inclusive resorts, but more like a historic hotel stay. Lots of work to be done on this hotel, but it’s almost 100 years old and huge. Updating would take away a lot of the historic charm. We had a balcony room on the 3rd floor of the palm pavilion, and it was huge! Easily double a regular hotel room. Such a convenient location to enjoy the town and Tampa Bay views. The employees are definitely not trying hard to please you, but that didn’t really bother us. We had a great time relaxing by the pool, hanging out on the balcony, and exploring Safety Harbor!
