Don’t think this is your place for a romantic getaway. The squeaky bed and left over hair in the shower will ruin that vibe. (Picture below from what I slide from the drain). Small and scratchy bath towels. This is a 1 or 2 star place at best. So many little things that just aren’t right. This site is focused on being a wedding focused facility. Not a B&B. Beds ok but very squeaky with any movement. Breakfast is a self serve cereal bar. Everything is self serve. Not much help available. TV had about 5 channels. Be prepared to carried your luggage up about 25-30 steps. Help was there at checkin but not checkout. Overall, the most disappointing B&B we have ever stayed at.

My wife and I renewed our vows after 20 years here in Sept 2024. This place is absolutely beautiful and offers a lot in their packages. When my wife originally called and spoke to Kimberly, she asked my wife several questions such as the type of event, how many people would attend, and dates we were thinking about throwing the event on. She stated she would send an email with quotes on the information given. When my wife did not hear back for a few days she contacted the venue again and was sent an email with all the questions she had already provided information for. My wife became hesitant to go for a tour as she stated she had a feeling working with the woman on the phone (Kimberly) was not going to be a good idea. I convinced her to just take a tour, and we would go from there. When we showed up for the tour Kimberly greeted us and started the tour. The place was amazing, unlike Kimberly’s attitude. It appeared she did not want to do the tour or was having a bad day. When she let us in the certain event spaces, (grooms’ den, bridal suite, event/reception space) she unlocked the door and didn’t provide any information about what we were looking at. Despite my wife’s feelings of possibly working with Kimberly, we chose the venue. I wanted to give my wife the wedding she never had, and this place had it all. My wife expressed her frustration several times about working with Kimberly. She said she was not communicating in a timely manner, was always out of the office, which made my wife feel like our renewal would be a disaster. When my wife started reading some of the reviews that were rated 1 star, they all mentioned Kimberly’s name. The stuff other people complained about was what we were experiencing. My wife and our wedding planner went for a tour so the planner could see the event space. Due to Kimberly being out of the office the tour was provided by Alexa. ALEXA WAS AMAZING!!! She took notes in our chart and was very informative on the tour. However, Kimberly was still our contact person at this time. My wife started reading reviews and the only negative reviews had mentioned what Kimberly was not doing. My wife expressed to me that what she read was what she was experiencing and no longer wanted to work with Kimberly. After calling multiple times to have someone else, preferably Alexa, roughly a month before our event we were assigned Alexa. Alexa was very professional, straight forward, and honest. She informed us that this may be stressful, but she will be in overdrive to make sure my wife’s vision became a reality. When I tell you Alexa not only made the vision become a reality the day of our event was PERFECT! My wife and I were not stressed and got to enjoy celebrating our 20-year anniversary with our loved ones. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were so attentive. Our family said that not only was everything beautiful it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Alexa, we cannot thank you enough!!! Highly recommend Al

Everything is great. Fantastic location. We have to head into Sacramento regularly. This is going to be our new go to hotel

i gave it another go because it's not a corporate hotel. in a nice and walkable neighborhood near restaurant options. still wish they would put some keurig coffee in rooms. poor quality bed sheets. room was clean enough except for the truly disgusting telephone. the dude working here passed through the breakfast area 4 times so far without clearing a single used item for the table where everyone left their dishes. come on, a little bit of effort, i assume he is getting paid. breakfast meh, coffee meh. but price is right for that stopping through town trip. will i give it a 3rd try? not sure.

it was good. 2 mile uber rides from everything in and around the capital. even the baseball stadium.
