This is a fantastic hotel, very nice rooms, great staff, very helpful and so kind, special mention to the bar tender Theresa, with her outstanding drinks. We will definitely be back

We stayed 4 nights at the Walliserhof. The first room assigned to us overlooked a construction site and we asked to change. We were placed in another room, quiet but on the ground floor, so a bit dark but spacious and quiet. The gym and the SPA pool area were nice. We only had breakfast, and it was not up to par with a 5-star hotel. Every morning, the same things, especially for bread, little choice and anemic pre-cooked sandwiches. For the rest, a plateau of cheeses, cold cuts and products that we do not eat for breakfast (smoked salmon and fish fillets), good yogurt and wholemeal crisps. Not an optimal quality/price ratio. High tourist tax CHF 7 per day but allows you to take advantage of free transport (buses and cable cars in the region

The room is spacious, has a self-service dining area, and is fully equipped with stoves and cooking utensils. It is very suitable for skiers. The bathroom is very clean, there is a bathtub for soaking, and there is also a public swimming pool and spa. It's a pity that I didn't check-in earlier. I must come earlier next time to enjoy it.
The location is excellent, only 4 minutes away from the train station, and it's easy to walk with your suitcase. It is walking distance from Gornergrat and Sunnegga stations, and there is a bus stop at the door to the Metterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car station.
Breakfast is very rich and delicious.

Wir sind jährlich geschäftlich im Walliserhof und man merkt eine deutliche Verbesserung im Hotel die Atmosphäre und Energie im Hotel ist sehr gut. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend und versuchen ihr Bestes. Wir waren da als der Erdrutsch die Strasse verschüttet hatte und mussten unseren Aufenthalt verlängern. Das Personal hat alles dafür gemacht, dass wir weiterhin gut versorgt werden und hat uns über Neuigkeiten umgehend informiert.

Seul bémol …à notre demande d’un jus d’orange pressé on nous on dirigé au buffet …( jus d’orange mélangé …berlingot) pour un 5 étoiles ce n’est pas normal ne pas le faire!

Empfang sehr nett. Wir haben das programm 3 nächte für zwei gebucht. Netterweise bekamen wir ein upgrade zimmer. Das zimmer auf der 5. Etage ist sehr schön. Wellnessanlage schwimmbad 5 sterne sehr schön und eklusiv sehr sauber. Personal meistens aufmerksam und freundlich. Frühstück alles vorhanden aber immernoch luft nach oben z.b.mehr regionlität beim käse z.b. auch verschiedene brotsorten, brot nicht ganz frisch es fehlt etwas die vielvalt und kreativität. Halbpension: menge und qualität nicht konstant. Für uns ist das essen ein sehr wichtiger bestandteil von einem ferienaufentalt. Wir berücksichtigen meistens gault millau hotels da wir sehr viel wert auf das essen legen. Leider wurden wir etwas enttäuscht. Das essen entsprach nicht unseren erwartungen. Die teigwaren hatten keinen geschmack und waren verkocht. Es gab teigwaren als vorspeise und teigwaren als hauptspeise brockoli als vorspeise und brockoli,als hauptgang. Die suppen hatten immer die gleiche einlage. Die proportionen waren nicht abgestimmt, einmal sehr knapp und einmal überdimensional zu gross. Für uns entsprach das nicht den 13 gault millau punkten. Der geschäftsführer hat das unmittelbar alles zur kenntnis genommen. Wir hatten ein gutes gespräch. Das resultat wird sich zeigen.
