We visited this place as a big group of 8 adults and 1 small child. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The venue was very clean and well kept. Nice beer garden area. It may be due to the fact there was so many of us, but we felt the food was under par. The portion sizes were huge so no problem there, but 5 of us adults all felt that the food was not great for such a highly rated place. The cost was reasonable and service was quick. I liked that there is baby changing facilities in both the men and women's toilet, most places only seem to have this is the woman's toilet so it was a pleasant surprise and meant I could give my partner an evening off nappy duties. Overall a nice time, but I personally wouldn't return in a hurry.

WOW I visited yesterday for Sunday lunch and it’s one of the best roast dinners I have ever had I had the mixed roast dinner and wasn’t disappointed Amy who is a senior member of staff welcomed us with a smile as she does always. The food was fabulous as always and the vibe within the pub is lovely. I will definitely be making this a regular place to visit as great value and great place for all occasions.

Couldn’t of chosen a more perfect place for an overnight stay . Neither of us had visited Rye before and as soon as we were welcomed in we were recommended things to do by Kelly . Perfect placement , 10 minute walk into town. Accommodation was in the form of one of the six cottages to the rear of the building , which was absolutely perfect . Can’t recommend this place highly enough, after a stroll we headed back for a few beers / G&T’s all served with a smile and a chat. Food was amazing, very reasonably priced as were the rooms . Thank you all for making us feel so welcome . Will definitely be returning soon. Wishing you all the best Rick and Michelle ( and Sidney )

Stayed for 4 nights in one of the cottages, private and clean, with parking right outside. Easy access to the courtyard and main building. Food varied and good value for money. All staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to Rye town centre and surrounding attractions.

We arrived at 7.30pm and our meal arrived at 9pm. It was a busy Friday night but not one member of staff came over to us to see if we were okay in all that time. Just a little acknowledgement and care would have gone a long way, but the attitude was one of complete indifference. Do not recommend, you really are not a 'valued customer'.

We have been visiting Rye for the last 20 or so years and have stayed in around 10 different places and without doubt The Kings Head Inn was by far and away the very best we have ever stayed in !!!!...The en suite chalets were wonderful, so much room with everything one could want plus a very large King sized bed, large parking area for your car right outside, fabulous pub !!!!...so warm and welcoming, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food ???? well we have not had better food in or around Rye ever, the menu at The Kings Head caters for everyone, it is beautifully presented, sumptuous and plentiful, and I doubt you will find better priced food anywhere in Rye, the pub is situated about 10 minutes walk from the Town so it is very near, we spoke to a few of the staff and they have been there for years as they say the owners Lisa and Steve have been so good to them and have always treated them wonderfully well, believe me it shows, we did stop going to Rye about 4 years ago because staying there had become expensive, there was no parking, food was terrible (and expensive) in the town and most did not take pets (we have a little poodle) my wife found The Kings Head on the internet and it fits every need, FABULOUS EVERYTHING !!!!.....Staying there, food, parking, pets, and best rates......thank you all, we had a marvellous time and will return very soon......... THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!...YOU WONT FIND BETTER !!!!!
