Staff were very friendly. The room was clean and in a quiet area (as requested when booking). Evening meal was good, although very noisy in the restaurant. Location was excellent with bus stops to different parts of the island nearby.

Tidyness depends on what room you get, as been a few times and sometimes the double rooms would be smelly and tea stains on the table , but the exclusive rooms would be neat and spotless, staff are very judgy I think how you dress as I've been in there a few times wearing comfy clothes just trackie bottoms or leggings and a jumper etc and myself and others have gotten bad looks from the staff before, the hotel itself is abit of a maze it's signs to each room I think needs updating as it doesn't really make sense and sometimes you can get lost for about five minutes, breakfast not the best but it's breakfast, I would give the food a 5 out of ten not much option and not the nicest, some staff are nice thoe too, but the hotel itself is over 100s of years old and has great history to it , it's lift is a little scary as makes weird noises and swings side to side when going down a little lol, but except from.tjsy it's literally opposite the beach, and right beside the town so plenty of shops around and a beautiful room

The hotel is located in front of Hover ferry terminal as well as next of Ryde Esplanade Station and bus station for entire destinations in the island. Breakfast is totally incredible!

Great location and nice staffs. We stayed here for 3 nights. It's easy to get to the hotel if you take wightlink to Ryde, just about 10mins walk.
5mins to bus stations and many restaurants around the hotel.

I stayed here for three days, and the transportation is convenient near the hotel. The hotel is opposite Ryde Quay and is very easy to find. Moreover, the bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. The hotel's breakfast is great, but the staff who clean the room are very unhygienic. They put the cups used by the first-hand guests on the table for the second-hand guests.

Excellent hotel in a great position to enjoy all that Ryde has to offer, from the naughty postcard museum to great restaurants, shops and boutiques plus the amazing Hovercraft service right opposite the hotel (minimum noise for maximum excitement - I really recommend a trip on this unique service). Traditional decor, great hospitality and good food and service with comfortable clean rooms make this my first choice for the IOW. Lovely to see a hotel which also stocks delicious looking cakes every day ready for a tea break - I am amazed at how many hotels don't have cake available for residents. Excellent stay and great value for money.
