My biggest gripe with places like this is the 10% gratuity which is added onto the bill and you would have no idea unless you request a receipt. I don’t mind tipping for good service but hidden gratuities is something I find annoying as you generally tip for good service. This auto gratuity is not listed on their website or the menu that I could see. We both had the pork belly main, my wife’s was lovely, best she has had, mine was full of fat and very hard to find any meat to eat, the tender stem broccoli was very very al dente, almost raw. I left quite a lot of the meal. Very underwhelming since we have dined here before and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Admittedly we dined at the restaurant using a voucher which essentially gave us £10 credit towards the dining menu, but next time we will pass on dining here and go somewhere else.

I chose the Hotel to hold a fundraising Gale dinner for the charity I work for. The events manager Jess was super helpful and nothing was any trouble. she was very professional as were all the staff. The room was perfect with stunning views over the lake . Our guests were treated to beautiful food and the bar even made a celebratory mocktail . The service was super sleek but not intrusive. I will be booking our next event next year with Jess . thank you

We had a lovely few days at this great hotel. Friendly staff and had booked a room overlooking the lake which was so peaceful. Pool was quiet when we went and very relaxing. Great food. If I had to find any fault I would have liked a fridge in the lake view terraced rooms. There was a position for one so would be a good addition in order to keep drinks cold particularly in the hot weather.

I have organised a family friend wedding at Lakeside Park hotel & Spa. I couldn’t asked for a better day, the staff was doing their job above and beyond. It was absolutely fantastic everything was perfect as we wanted, from start to finish we had the best day & amazing memories to cherish. The venue was stunning, foods was delicious you couldn’t fault for the hard work of their staffs. Special mention to the staffs done their great job, Khalid General Manager, Jess the event coordinator & the rest of the team. Also our stay after a long day at the wedding, the room was comfortable relaxing over looking the lake. I can’t thank enough to all the staff. I would definitely recommend to everyone & we will definitely stay again. Thank you so much x

To the Management of Lakeside Hotel and Spa, I am writing to express our disappointment regarding an incident that occurred during lunch today involving one of our valued clientele. It was unfortunate and disheartening that your manager addressed the situation with a rude and unprofessional tone. Contrary to what may have been assumed, the guest did not walk out without paying. In fact, it was your staff who presented the bill, and she paid the full amount as shown to her at that time. What’s even more disappointing is that, despite the confusion, the customer made the effort to return and pay the difference — a gesture that deserved appreciation, not hostility. We hope this matter is taken seriously. Professionalism and respect should never be compromised, especially in the hospitality industry. As in hospitality the Manager should know to pacify a situation that create the commotion.

We had our wedding at Lakeside on 6th June 2025 and it was a beautiful day! We stayed in the Wootton Suite the night before and it is a gorgeous room with amazing rooms, this also got us spa access which was perfect! We want to thank Jess so so much for how brilliant she has been through the whole wedding experience, I first got in contact with her in 2023 and she has been great at communicating and answering every question I had. Jess put me at ease with how personable she was and made sure the wedding day was everything we wanted and more, keeping us both stress free! We finally want to thank Marcus, the barman, he was brilliant and energetic, all the guests thought you were wonderful! Thank you for keeping the atmosphere going and making the night memorable. All in all, this is a perfect wedding venue and Jess is incredible. Thank you

It was a spa and afternoon tea. The pool was quite small the jacuzzi didn’t have any disabled access no steps to get in or handrail. The disabled changing room no chair for clothes. The hairdryers and mirrors covered in dust. The mini massage was excellent very skilled. The afternoon tea the waiter didn’t know what pescatarian was and bought me 3 different plates of sandwiches. The cakes were nice apart from the cheesecake which had gelatine in and I had to ask so I didn’t eat it. They did bring me fresh cakes after that. The waiter dropped the plates on the floor and swore without apologising. It was a bit like Faulty Towers. He did we enjoy the afternoon tea. It was ok but took ages to get it right

Visited with some friends / family from America, we all had treatments in the spa, Zoe on reception went above and beyond answering all our questions and all the ladies that did our treatments was superb! Will definitely be back! We also had an afternoon tea and all the staff was so accommodating to our dietary needs, beautiful setting and gorgeous food.
