The hotel is great. The environment of this castle is really great. The surrounding greenery is very good. There are green trees in the manor and the scenery is great. The hotel room is relatively small, but the breakfast is good.

I set off from the airport and drove for just over ten minutes. Finally, after a short journey, I suddenly arrived at an old mansion that felt far away from the city. It is very historical and elegant in every aspect.

OMG, what can I say about this hotel? The hotel is beautiful, but the room is so small. Two people are fighting each other even if they turn around, and the luggage cannot be opened. There are two chairs, but there is no room for legs. No more, the bathroom is even smaller. Well, I went to live in a servant's room in a large manor. After staying for two nights, there was no cleaning service, towels were not changed, and there was no mineral water. The problem with all these hotels in the UK is that they have to set a specific time for breakfast, which is troublesome. The breakfast environment is very beautiful and quaint, but there are actually very few breakfast varieties. It’s nothing more than a continental breakfast or Bank Dick eggs or Spanish omelette or something like that

It's not bad, but it's relatively rigid. I discussed with them to check out two hours later and didn't agree.

Building special . Staff obviously untrained but doing thier best . Cheap wines bad choice of beers . Bar more like a harvester than a 4 5 hotel. Decor modern pictures not in keeping .rugs cheap and not in keeping .years ago Proper oriental rugs and carpets and paintings all in keeping .to sum up great look from the outside done up on a very low budget inside

So disappointed by the majority of the employees. We arrived later in the evening and expected a warm welcome and smooth check in. It was anything but. We were met by a very unwelcoming man who left us standing at the reception whilst he battled with the computer. We had to tell him our names at least 5/6 times and he was getting more irritated each time he asked as if it was or fault. Then taken to our room and was given another guests room keys so had to wait in the dark and rain whilst the porter went to get the correct keys If I thought it was a one off I was wrong as the morning staff when I checked out were as unfriendly and uninterested.

the grounds are fun, It is convenient to Ascot and Heathrow. The personnel are very helpful. Mostly the restaurant is excellent. There are new young creative chefs and they really are having fun and taking pride in their work. No dissappointments.

This hotel looks like it has been neglected for quite some time. The staff are trying, but are woefully off the mark. It took 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar, with no one in front of me! 2 bottles of beer shouldn’t take that long. And £18 for the privilege. We were here for a wedding, and the ac was non existent. The groom was nearly passing out when saying his vows, mopping his sweat on camera. The rooms were bang average for £350 per night. The breakfast was ok, with a tasteless black pudding, luke warm sausage and something that resembled bacon. I had to ask 3 times for the toast, and based on this, went into the town for a Starbucks for coffee. Some of the wedding guests stayed locally for a lot less, and I think they had a much better experience. To be honest, the actual grounds etc should be incredible, but are clearly in need of some investment, as the hedges etc are overgrown in places. Whilst sitting outside , we were constantly dive bombed by wasps. My mother in law was asked to leave a table she had reserved for coffee the next morning, therefore having to sit in the direct 30 degree sun. They lost the cover to the brides dress, ate half the wedding cake, and generally fell short in every department. All in all a terrible experience. Do not waste your money. We have stayed at SLH before, and I would imagine this will be taken away imminently. So bad

Was here for a wedding but wow, where to begin! No A/C in any part of the buildings and the level of heat in the wedding service (Orangery) area and wedding breakfast (Tithe Barn) was frankly, irresponsible and bordering on being a health and safety issue. My daughter was nearly sick from heat exhaustion. 90% of staff were very young (late teens/early twenties) and clearly not trained well. For such a beautiful historic venue why is the legacy being tarnished by such poor attention to basic areas of service. Moments of sharp attitude from staff members was also disappointing but they were no doubt suffering from the heat as much as the 140 poor guests.
