Stayed at the Premier Inn Runcorn for a singular night, overall, the experience is generally what you expect from a Premier Inn. We paid £65 for the night, which is fairly reasonable in our view. We were welcomed by two very friendly staff members, who we bumped into numerous times around the hotel. They were always offering help, and even opening the doors as we walked through! Top notch service. The room was fairly clean, although there was detritus on the floors under the beds, plus the bed linen was stained with blood spots and a mysterious dried substance spatter on the duvet... I dread to think what that could be! Additionally, our room lacked any hanging space for clothing. Location of the hotel is ideal for nearby amenities. However, it's VERY close to the m56. If you fall asleep easily to the thunder of passing HGVs, then this hotel is for you! Our room backed onto the motorway carriage way, which was less than 5 meters away. The triple glazing did little to stifle the motorway noise sadly. Would I stay again at a Premier Inn? Hell yes, they are one of the hotel chains I use the most. However, would I use the Runcorn Premier Inn again... perhaps not, which is a great shame as the staff are lovely.
