Laikipia Eco Cottages

We had the most incredible stay! The cottage was gorgeous, with hot water and a beautiful view, comfortable bed, all the amenities you need. Paul and his staff are incredibly friendly and relaxed, ensuring every need and wish are granted. The food is out of this world. Most of all, the opportunity to learn about the Maasai community and connect with the local people is such a joy and honor. Lekurinde, a Maasai warrior, took us on a game drive and tracked a leopard - and shared his musical talents by a campfire. I can’t wait to come back with my family for another stay!

The location of the lodge is excellent, being located close to Loisaba conservancy. The camp is small, including few comfortable cottages, that are owned by the local community. The cottages are very well equipped and clean; the beds are very comfortable. Excellent hospitality of the staff and of the manager Paul. All members of the staff are always smiling, attentive to guests and ready to help us. The food was also delicious and varied. A pure pleasure for the taste buds of gourmets!!! Moreover, excellent level of knowledge of the guide, who is native of Loisaba conservancy and speaks English fluently. He enabled us to see many during unforgettable full day and night game drives. For families with children, there is a swimming pool. Altogether, I HIGHLY recommend to stay in Lewaso cottages, which is a small paradise "Out of Africa".

This is an excellent and reasonably priced place to visit, very peaceful and quiet. The landscape is serene which I could view from my own private deck with fresh coffee throughout the day. Paul the manager was extremely helpful in making arrangements for a game drive and a couple of great cultural experiences with the local tribe, along with nightly camp fire and music from a Kenyan Nyatiti I believe. The dining was fantastic and used mainly fresh food from the garden and area. The Kenyan coffee was strong and plentiful. I actually arranged for a stunning helicopter excursion to pick me up from here on my second day. At the end of my stay, Paul transferred me to Loisaba, my next destination without issues. I do recommend strongly contacting Lewaso Cottages in advance if you make a booking as it is very remote, it is best to give them a heads up about your visit and wishes.
