It started out as a negligent situation, they tried to fix , but never admitted to such. They were having a snowstorm, and I actually thought it was nice that they contacted me the night before my check in , that I needed a 4wd or chains on tires to get into property or park on road. Or change my dates. Well this was a one and done road trip , I figured I would cancel and we would skip ruidoso. Funny , then it was to late to cancel. So we went , driveway was not plowed , but that wasn’t their fault. Now it begins. We had an AWD vehicle do we made it into unplowed parking lot. Got out room and it was freezing. They FORGOT to turn on the heat. Hello …. Checking in. It’s a blizzard. We left and turned heaters up. Came back 4 hrs later. Still very cold. He brought us more space heaters and fire wood , that we were not going to pay for.they charge 10$ for 6 pieces. Lol then tells you he gave you an extra one. We could not get the fire started. We just went to bed. It did warm up. But was not happy with the way we were treated. My husband goes to take a shower and the cold water does not work. Omg. Maintenance came and says it was frozen. Mean time I wanted to check out and not pay for the second night. He was not nice and says he did everything he could and that was that. Was not giving our money back. Says he gave us Soave heaters and fixed the shower. He says this and doesn’t even know yet that it was frozen. When I tell him this and state that we can’t even shower , what am I paying for ??!! He finally says he’ll refund the second night so we can leave. He sound have refunded everything and apologized. But it’s not his fault. They were having a snow storm. Everyone was cold. You’ve got to be kidding me. Sorry this is so long , but I’ve never ever had such a bad experience and I’ve never written a bad review. I can find good in most things. But not this one. Get better management or close down , to guests.
