We entered the hotel via telephone and key code entry system .. the room itself looked like it had all amenities as described but after looking around the room and the stairway to the room decided it wasn’t for us and we left after calling the mobile number to let the owner know .. I felt unsafe insecure in the room it wasn’t the standard I was expecting .. we were lucky enough to book a nights stay at a different hotel in a safer location

Tiny car park, very hard to manoeuvre even in my small car. Ended up parked against wall with branches scraping against car as I parked. Had to get out passenger seat as space was so small. Given room in courtyard building- very small, particularly bathroom! Tea and coffee facilities good. Bed small but comfy. Shower gel and shampoo provided. Lock on door was extremely stiff and we had to ask someone from reception to open it from outside as we couldn't from inside. Keys are very old fashioned.

My sisters and I had a pleasant stay here. It is a little on the run down side but perfectly clean and comfortable and we were happy enough for what we paid, no complaints. Bathroom seemed quite newly done and was spacious. Great location not far from the train station and service was very good.

We thought we’d done our research well when looking for a cheap hotel in a town we didn’t know. However, it was clear before we’d even entered that we’d made a mistake. The area was deprived and the hotel run down. It was equally run down inside and reminded me of student accommodation: very cheap furniture, worn carpets and curtains that didn’t quite close. The noise was also an issue, not only from the road (and drunken passers by) outside, but also from other rooms. The walls were wafer thin and you could hear every little noise being made from the other rooms. Last night we spotted a Travel Lodge on our walk back to our hotel. Not sure why it hadn’t shown up on our search, but if we ever return, we will be booking in there instead.

Stayed here whilst visiting family in the area, room was clean and tidy, greeted by Julie whom couldn't be more helpful. Comfortable bed and pillows, all the amenities you could need for a few nights stay. Check In was swift and we could check in early which was a bonus. Brilliant little boutique hotel, will definitely be back.

Terrible experience. Their website is a sham. There is no hotel or staff, only a room in a dilapidated run down building. No bar, no dining room, no reception. Received texts giving number for key box so we could get to our room. Quite a weird experience. Had booked for two nights but only stayed one. The website shows a lovely dining room and bar. We were very disappointed .

Avoid this place like the plague. The photos are not great but the actual place is a hovel!! I drove past and then went to view the room . Dingy carpets stapled to floor , foosty smell in building , wallpaper coming off walls . Room was awful black walls in bathroom . I didn’t stay and tried to cancel but too late .. owner Woukdnt return the money . Fair enough my fault fir not researching place first .. Warning steer clear !!

Lovely hotel central to the town and train station. Julie was very welcoming snd accommodating to our needs. She has clearly put a lot of thought into ensuring her guests have the best stay, from tea/coffee and biscuits to the presentation of the towels. Mattress, pillow and bedding very comfy. We will certainly be back annually xx
