This hotel is in a beautiful setting, convenient for Rugby and the M1/M6. The grounds and building are beautiful, although there are signs of neglect. We stayed in a suite in the Stables, it was tired, which I knew from the photos online but our bathroom had hair in the bath and clogged in the plughole. The shower didn't run hot and the toilet flush was poor. Breakfast was mediocre at best, lots of hot food had run out with no-one keeping an eye, we had to ask for items to be brought out. The staff were 50/50 - some very pleasant but some disinterested, one of the receptionists didn't even give us directions to our room properly suite. If some money was spent on improving the rooms and building I would have been happy to pay more, it is a real shame is the potential is immense!

Beautiful grounds, beautiful buildings. Stayed in the stables, basic but very nice. No A/C was very hot and smallest fan. Liked the waterfall shower head. Receptionist was nice, very efficient. Never got to walk the grounds as was staying for one night, but looks like there is much to explore onsite and surrounding. Beautiful area. Close around 15min walk to the shopping area and restaurants and about 30min walk from Rugby. A nice walk.

Once the jewel in the crown of hotels in rugby, I was shocked and dismayed at my recent stay here. The place is very run down, with threadbare carpets, dated bathrooms, stained windows and limited choice of bar beverages. The breakfast choice was limited, although I must congratulate them on having gluten free options, something not always on offer.

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday on the 14th July. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted !!!! By someone who just said yes , I told him we had a reservation he turned around and handed a key and said we were at 33 the stables. The reception are wasn't inviting at the least. We got to our room which was supposed to be an executive suite 🤔 the room was very dark and tge decor very dated. It was a four poster bed and that's where it stopped. The bathroom was dreadful the skirting boards were dirty there was dark hairs in the bath. The shower head was utterly disgusting , to the point we wouldn't have a shower. The shutters outside the room where wooden and rotten. We went for dinner which was not a pleasant experience, the menu was very basic and the service was not good. We waited over 1/2hr for the main course which we only ate a small bit of it. The tables where set as basic as it get (knife fork salt &pepper) not the setting of a smart ? Hotel. In the morning we left very early as we couldn't stay any longer. I went to reception to complain and was given an email address as nobody was there at 7am except for someone in the kitchen. I had various conversations later that day regarding the complaint and was told I could have a 50% refund through Booking. Com which I had to claim, as long as I paid £59 to get it. I wrote to the manager Mr Manoj Kanattummal to explain how appalled I was and he did reply saying he would dort it znd let me know , and to date nothing. I did inform him that I would write a review if we didn't get anywhere.

So, for our siblings meet in Rugby, we stayed at the Brownsover Hall, it is a Gothic building with amazing original architecture. They also have a massive permanent marque and all the stables have been turned into rooms. We had an incredible deal for a Saturday night and l had read some pretty sad reviews but we found it absolutely beautiful, clean and awesome. Staff were excellent as well! I would highly recommend Brownsover Hall Hotel!♥️
