Wir waren am 03.05.2025 mit über 20 Leuten hier, eine goldene Hochzeit! Das Restaurant war bis Anschlag ausgebucht, unten und oben. Parkpläzte gab es auch nicht mehr. Wir waren oben, wo es gefühlt 35 Grad hatte! Das vietnamesische Personal (3 Personen), und auch die Person mit roten Haaren, sehr nett. Aber eine ältere Person so 55 ??? mit schwarzen Haaren, extrem genervt, unfreundlich und extrem überfordert. Erst als es leerer wurde, war sie wieder entspannt. Wenn sie überfordert sind? dann sollte man weniger Reservierungen annehmen! Das Essen, sowohl Hauptspeise als auch Kuchen und Torte. Absolut hervorragend, ich denke es gibt in Rudolstadt nichts Besseres. Aber wir waren schon öfters da! Das die teuerste Hauptspeise 52 Euro kostet!!! Wir sind in Rudolstadt und nicht in Berlin!!! Die Qualität stimmt aber!

Leider mussten wir sofort wieder abreisen, obwohl wir eigentlich das Restaurant besuchen wollten. Kaum ausgestiegen, verbellte uns ein großer freilaufender Hund. Meine Tochter fürchtet sich vor Hunden und hat sich schlimm erschrocken. Weit und breit war niemand zu sehen. Wir flüchteten wieder ins Auto, als irgendwann eine "Dame" aus einer Tür schaute. Als ich ihr zurief, ob das ihr Hund sei, nickte sie und als ich fragte, ob man den Hund nicht an die Leine nehmen oder zumindest drauf aufpassen könnte, brüllte sie uns an, dass der Hund hier wohne und wir uns auf seinem privaten Grundstück befänden, da müsse er gar keine Leine tragen. Weder Hund noch Frauchen geben Gästen das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Dann lassen wir unser Geld lieber woanders. Das Grundstück ist nicht mit Warnschildern "Vorsicht, freilaufender Hund" gekennzeichnet.

Nie wieder, hier wird man wie ein Schwerverbrecher behandelt und es fehlt jeglicher Erfahrung im Umgang mit Menschen/Kundschaft. Wir waren in einer Gruppe von zehn Personen über's Wochenende dort. Feierten ein wenig am Freitag- und Samstagabend und ich fand an der Stelle wo wir bis zum Schluss feierten am nächsten Morgen ein iPhone. Niemand war in der Nähe, also nahm ich es mit und fragte alle aus der Gruppe. Niemanden gehörte das iPhone, so begab ich mich zur Hotelrezeption und gab es ab. Kurz darauf konfrontierte mich eine Hotelmitarbeiterin brüllend im gefüllten Restaurant des Diebstahls usw. Ich blieb ruhig und versuchte die Sache zu deeskalieren und entschuldigte mich dafür, dass ihr iPhone NICHT geklaut wurde und ich es an der Hotelrezeption abgab ca. 100x, da sie immer wieder von vorne anfing und sich in einer Endlosschleife befand. Wir ließen an diesem Wochenende ca. 4.500€ im Hotel. Nie wieder!!!!!! Ein Lob jedoch an das vietnamesische Personal!!!!

Für ein angebliches 4 Sterne Hotel ist es insgesamt deutlich zu wenig. Positiv zu bewerten ist das Essen im Restaurant auch als HP a la carte möglich. Das Essen kann immer eingenommen werden. Die schöne Aussicht auf Rudolfstadt und die Burg sind ebenfalls positiv hervorzuheben, sowie die ruhige schöne Lage des Hotels. Negativ ist, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt, auf einem Balkon oder Terrasse zu verweilen und zu relaxen. Die Wellness Angebote bestehend aus einer Sauna und IR Kabine sind dürftig. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ist ok, das Bad aber sehr eng und passt nicht zu dem angegebenen Panoramazimmer. Im großen und ganzen ist der Aufenthalt zufriedenstellend gewesen.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Kamer goed onderhouden. Zeer lekker eten in het restaurant. Voor mijn echtgenoot die geen trappen kan doen was er een buitenliftje en kregen we een kamer op de benedenverdieping. Ook voor het ontbijt werd voorgesteld dat wij beneden konden eten en ik ging via de trap naar het ontbijtbuffet kiezen. Alles mocht op een plateau gezet worden en dit werd voor ons naar beneden gebracht. Geweldige service !

Hiding the miniature toilet behind a screen in the guest room is also a shame for an otherwise very nice location.

We always eat at the Marienturm when we are in Rudolstadt. In my opinion, there is nothing comparable if you are looking for good food and excellent service.
