Accommodation at Salomons Estate

Upon waking in the morning, I was disappointed that we arrived in the dark and had to leave early. The surroundings were picturesque with spring blossoms and rabbits everywhere. I’d also like to visit the Salomon museum. The room was clean , neat and fit for purpose.

I don't really know where to start - other than to thankyou SO much to Leah and the whole events team for being the most amazing wedding venue & events team we could ask for. Everything about our day was perfect from start to finish, and even before hand. The team were constantly fast to respond to any queries or questions I had. The team made themselves available for meetings if needed. Leah crafted our day perfect, and made our dream day come to life. All members of staff were fantastic, professional, efficient, we cannot thankyou all enough. Thankyou for the fantastic accommodation both the night before and night of the wedding. The food, oh my god the food, I had compliments from nearly every guest on all of the food. The canapes, the wedding breakfast, the evening snacks - INCREDIBLE. some of the best food I've ever had in my life. And guests also commented on how lovely the bar staff were also both in the day and evening. And a VERY big thankyou to how supportive and relaxed Leah was throughout the day - never felt like any task was too big or too much of an ask, her foresight when things were running early, and making changes to our schedule effortlessly so things still ran smoothly like bringing dinner forward, helping discuss with our photographer changes to the timeline so we could get the perfect wedding photos, AMAZING, absolutely amazing from start to finish - we could not have asked for a more perfect co-ordinator than Leah. I can't quite put into words how forever grateful we will be, we couldn't have had our dream day without you all.

Good stop over It's a beautiful lodge to arrive at. As guest in the outer accommodation be mindful the old architecture stops here. However, the rooms were soaps spacious and clean and over looked the extensive grounds.

Lovely overnight stay here. Comfortable quiet room and lots of choice for breakfast. Our room was a short walk from the Manor House, where the reception, bar and breakfast room were. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was explained when we arrived that they didn’t serve food in the evening, which we knew from reading the advance email from them. But we were directed to a nearby fish and chip shop (which is what we wanted) and they offered to provide plates and cutlery if we wanted to eat it there or to have it delivered by one of the food delivery platforms. Very happy with our stay and would happily recommend.

Would not stay again unless cottages or main bldg Budget price, budget experience. Comfortable bed, decent enough bathroom, building itself left a lot to be desired. Very noisy - could hear every heavy sounding footstep above me (at 6 am) conversation from other rooms and every electric ping of people entering main door, people coming in late and leaving early made for short nights of sleep. Decent breakfast and gorgeous grounds with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the views. Staff welcome and professional, older building would likely be better than the flimsy 60s refurbed uni halls type accommodation. Have booked the cottages before and they are lovely. Motto is you get what you pay for?
