Villa Virpi

We had originally booked for four people and had a room prepared for them, but they didn't have any reservations, so they upgraded us to a bigger room (a whole house) for free. All the utensils were provided, the shower was good, and the bed was fluffy, so it was good, but it would have been nice if the heater was a little stronger for sleeping at night. The public bus stop is a 30-minute walk away, and if you have four or five people, it would be cheaper to rent a car at the airport. In that case, the location doesn't really matter.

The room we originally booked was in the attic. Not only did it not have an elevator, but the room also had an indescribable strange and unpleasant "home smell", perhaps it was human sweat, dog urine, or the smell of cooking oil from the owner downstairs. The mattress was worn out, the wallpaper at the head of the bed was yellowed, and the sheets were obviously stained and had hair on them. For a room of just over 1,000, is it because the prices in Finland are too high, or are the accommodation conditions too poor? Later, after I complained to Ctrip, the merchant changed another separate room for me for free. The accommodation conditions here are much better. It can be said that the merchant's service attitude is good, but I suggest that you choose to book this room with caution. After all, experiencing these complaints, arguments, and re-carrying luggage during the trip is very annoying.

Wegen einer Verletzung wollten wir die Unterkunft über zwei Woche vor unserem Trip stornieren, der Host reagierte darauf sehr unfreundlich und hat nicht versucht einen guten Ausweg für beide Parteien zu finden. Daraufhin entschieden wir uns doch hinzufahren, weil wir unseren Trip nicht aufgeben wollten. Leider konnten wir uns auch kein Auto ausborgen und mussten deshalb den ganzen Weg vom Bahnhof zur Villa Virpi zu Fuß gehen (mit 25kg Koffer und mit Schnee und Eis auf der Straße!!). Als wir ankamen hat uns der Host eher überrascht empfangen (mein Freund hat exlizit geschrieben, dass wir doch kommen würden). Auf der Tagesbettdecke in unserem Zimmer waren Flecken und Haare. Außerdem waren im Kleiderschrank ebenfalls Haare und Staub und sonstiger Dreck (der Spiegel wurde auch seit ewigkeiten nicht mehr geputzt). Im Wasserkocher war noch Wasser drinnen (von Gästen davor?). Um die Tür zu unserem Zimmer öffnen zu können musste ich mich mit vollem Gewicht dagegen drücken. Zum zu sperren gab es nur ein kleines Vorhängeschloss (von außen) und eine Türkette von innen(konnte man von außen auch aufmachen also nicht sicher!!). Im Klo ist bei unserer Ankunft und bis am Tag danach ein Müllsack am Boden gelegen. Das Badezimmer war generell sehr dreckig (siehe Fotos) und die Dusche war sehr rostig und hat auch nicht sauber ausgeschaut. Der Kühlschrank in unserem Zimmer war extrem laut (vor allem in der Nacht störend) und ebenfalls sehr schmutzig (siehe Fotos). Es gab keine Covid-19 Sicherheitsmaßnahmen und kein Handdesinfektionsmittel. Der Host spricht nur sehr brüchiges Englisch Die gemeinsam benutzte Küche war jedoch gut ausgestattet.

Rovaniemi a febbraio Le camere sono all'interno di una casa privata, 2 camere con bagno in comune al secondo piano, l'host è stato molto disponibile sia all'accoglienza che per le informazioni. Consiglio per una notte di passaggio a Rovaniemi. Pulizia buona,distanza dal centro a piedi 15 minuti.
