This is such a nice hotel to stay no matter you are a business traveler, solo traveler or with a family. The lounge and workspace suit all these types and help you to relaxed! A very central location with walkable distance to the Rotterdam Centraal Station, The Market and the harbour side. You will be surprised that they have a nice exercise area! Their breakfast is also nice for those who have tight schedule in the morning or simply wanna chill at the lounge. If you are a person who cares for saving our planet or a design lover, you will love this hotel. USUAL cares about the impact of their building materials and daily products on the environment and do good job in recycling as well. You can tell from their interior design of their entire hotel. And it’s fun to find out how many “U” they hide in all the design details! Have fun and enjoy your stay there like me!

The shared toilets/ showers are mixed and that made it a little uncomfortable for me . Room is ok.

This hotel is ideal for business trips, solo travelers, and even trips with friends. I loved the central location – right in the heart of the city, with an MRT station just across the street and both bus and tram stops nearby. The staff was incredibly helpful during my stay. I’ll definitely choose this place again when I return to Rotterdam.

Great location, cozy interior design, friendly staff and clean room. An environmental friendly hotel while I can get whatever I need. I am glad that their toiletry is far better than others and I don’t need to use mine.

I stay at the hotel one night in a cozy room. The room is great design, clean, comfortable bed and staff i friendly. Good place near Rottedam blaak👍

The hotel has many facilities, including a large gym room and clean toilets (although they are shared.) I saw other people eating breakfast, which was very rich. The only drawback is that the room is really too small. Two people can't even open their luggage at the same time. There is no table to put things on. It would be great if you dress lightly.

The hotel is centrally located. The service is excellent with very friendly staff. It was such a beautiful interior, super clean. The room had everything needed for a short overnight stay. Literally nothing to complain about, recommended!

Absolutely incredible quality of stay and value for money. Smart room design (love the bathroom door that doubles as a shower screen), and love the aesthetic. Would have been an easy five stars other than the breakfast service which was experiencing supply issues. Great idea to have a buffet but most of the breads and pastries were out for ages and I waited 20 minutes for filter coffee and eventually gave up. That said, I'm sure its just teething issues and I wouldn't hesitate to return and to recommend The Usual to others.

We were traveling in Rotterdam for work/vacation and the Usual had rooms for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Maybe it is just us, but we have found it sometimes difficult to find quad rooms in our travels and don't like to have to book 2 rooms... So it was fortunate that the Usual had a room for us. I say fortunate because the rooms are quite large (a bed and a pull out sofa bed) that still left enough room for our luggage and moving around. There were 2 sinks, a refrigerator and dishware which really helped us out. Not that cooked in the room, it was just great to have for snacks and light eats. I believe the hotel is new as the furnishing was all modern, in excellent condition and very clean. I personally liked the style and amenities of the rooms and hotel. We were on the 6th floor which gave a small view of the city. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, though I would note that check-in is self-check-in and naturally we couldn't find our QR code that the hotel sent us...but there was someone to help us find our way. We only had drinks at the bar, which were good and reasonably priced. We did not get breakfast largely because of the price and that there are many local bakeries/coffee shops available. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy access to the tram/metro and many sights including the Maritime Museum. We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend. Extremely clean. Brand new establishment. Super staff. Very accommodating. Easy, enjoyable common space to sit and read a book, surf the web, have a conversation or just listen to music. Inexpensive parking close by. Fabulous layout of rooms with tiered pricing and options- from a pod to room with private bathroom. Pods have clean shared multiple sinks for washing up/brushing teeth. Clean, locked bathrooms and locked separate shower stalls with soap provided; Like you would find in an upscale gym/athletic facility. Pod rooms were the size you’d find at some NYC boutique hotels. Highly recommend-for the price point you can’t beat it. Right adjacent to trendy Witte neighborhood.
