Brentwood Inn by Greene King Inns

We reserved tables for my sons 30th for ten of us. Staff sorted it and all our orders came out together which was a huge plus as we had several adults with special needs. The food was delicious and hot and great portion sizes. Staff are friendly and very attentive, they made us feel very welcome. It's a beautiful pub and wheelchair accessible from the back. The menu is extensive so there's something for everyone.

We went to the hotel on the 10th September to the 14th September for my sister's funeral as I live in PORTSMOUTH it was a very good hotel and We have nothing but praise for all members of staff the room was very pleasant and we were very happy with everthing

What a lovely hotel. My husband and I stayed overnight at The Brentwood having booked through *******. From the second we stepped through the door the welcome was cheerful and friendly where everything regarding our stay was explained to us clearly and efficiently. We got our room key (a REAL key instead of a card) and went up to our room in the annexe which was exactly as we'd requested. We went straight to the bar for dinner and although it was busy, we were seated very swiftly. The staff were run off their feet but were efficient and attentive with our meal being served very quickly. It was piping hot and plentiful. Breakfast this morning was fantastic, as we were again quickly served by friendly staff who were very welcoming. As we checked out we both observed we'd had a peaceful night's sleep without the sound of slamming doors through the night which you often get in other hotels. Overall we were very impressed and felt both comfortable and at ease throughout our all too brief stay. Thank you to all at The Brentwood.

We arrived early. I went up to the bar and asked if we could park the car while we went into town for a few hours. We walked the mile down into Rotherham. We did get an Uber back as the the hill was a little to steep for my legs! It was well worth the £5 paid. We went to the crank in desk at 1:30 and were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable lady who checked us in and explained where our room was. The entrance to the room is slightly to the left of the main entrance. We walked up a stair case, along a short corridor. The room was clean. Lovely supportive bed with extra pillows. A kettle and supplies were on the desk. Lots of storage for clothes and our bags. The bathroom had a bath and an overhead shower (I’ll come to that later). We unpacked and headed off to the restaurant for a late lunch. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had a lovely meal with a couple of drinks. Upon returning to the room we got ready for our evening out. The shower was the best I’ve ever used in a hotel. Easy to select the correct temperature and the water pressure was excellent. The bed was comfortable and we both had a brilliant nights sleep. Breakfast was available, but we didn’t have it.

Came for a meal and drinks on Saturday. The team members were Nicola, Bronwyn and Ian and they were great. They had great banter amongst each other and made it a fun visit. Food was lovely and served quickly. Will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Absolute value for money. Family room was massive. Main room had a super king bed with a bathroom. Then when we had a nose around there was a second room with 2 singles and yet another full bathroom. Rooms were clean. Beds were super comfortable. Food in attached bar was excellent and superb value for money. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Booked a birthday meal for my elderly mum who has dementia and wheelchair bound. 4 generations of family and a baby granddaughter 20 months. The staff arranged a great table and the food was really lovely and staff made such a difference. Thank you all and we will return being local.

No hot water, poo stuck around the toilet bowl and no brush available. I let the shower run in case it heated up and they berated me as the water was leaking to the room below. Wouldn’t move me to another room and then said they didn’t like my attitude as I was complaining. Never again

On 17/07/24, We checked in for a 2 night stay at the Brentwood. We last stayed at this hotel in September 2022 & found it disappointing, but having heard the hotel had been refurbished, We decided to try it again for a family birthday stayover. We were given room 23 & we were very pleased with it. A double room with plenty of wardrobe & storage space, good size tv, tea/coffee/kettle & full length windows. Our room was down the side of the property so it was nice & quiet & also shaded from the sun. We didn't have breakfast during our stsyover but we did have a pub meal. Great value, 2 mains for £13.49 & they also hsve Steak Night etc. Only slight negatives. The tap to turn on the shower was very stiff & the mattress on the bed was a bit too firm for us but personal choice. The rooms are definitely much better now & we would book this hotel again. Staff are friendly & helpful
