Carlton Park Hotel

Ideal location to an event we were attending at the Don Valley bowl. Both guys on reception very helpful. Parking onsite which was great. Allowed us to check in early as we needed to attend an event. Room was clean and smelt clean also. Decorating and furniture was dated, but this didn’t affect our stay. There was a constant noise, possibly in the pipes… but it was something we got used to. I would stay again as it was reasonably priced, considering hotels closer to our event was 5 times the price. Thank you 🙂

Couldn't have a shower as was scolding hot and no adjustment. Informed reception to be told tough. Lamp shades hanging off the wall. Black mould around bath handles and bath disgusting. Had to go buy own batteries to be able to use tv as reception wouldn't provide. Found out after that hotel is being used as half way house for drug and alcohol ******* and homeless despite not saying on there website only on confirmation from trip.com after paying for it and seeing its not refundable

No bar, restaurant or pool as advertised

Very standard. Not far from meadow Hall. Alot of facilities not open and door boarded up on the outside. Was just there for the boxing so did not spend long in hotel. Is good if you need somewhere cheap to crash

Mistake...😞 I made a mistake booking here (I can't call it a hotel). NOT SAFE. NOT CLEAN and the list is long. Its a place of some sort. Even a bad student accommodation used to be better and safer. I am unable recommend this "place" or any part of it and that's a very rare thing. Horrible stay and nothing to report back that's positive😞 SAFETY: I came back to my room on the second night, and my room door was open. Domestics had been in whilst I was out and left the room open, and it remained open until my return at night time. I reported to reception, and all he was able to say is, "I am sorry about that". Cleanliness: Poor Services (of any sort): non existent (the restaurant/gym etc have been closed years apparently. Hot water: hit and miss Noise: very noisy. Quality of the room: Poor Radiator: does not work in the rooms (all the rooms as they admitted the next day). When I checked in i was told the radiator would come on at some point but it never did. A temporary electric heater was in the room when I checked in and I was told to use it until the radiator is switched on from the mains. Needless to say the radiator never came on and the electric heater was actually in the room because the radiator was never going to come on. That's why the electric fan radiator was already in the room at check in. Carpet: not clean Curtains dirty and about to fall off. Walls:very thin and noise all night. Toilet seat: cover broken Shower drain: was blocked.

This company as a hotel is illegally operating. The company is dissolved yet it’s still trading. RIP off cowboy owners. Please avoid. You can check them on Companies House - Mayfair Carlton Park Ltd Don’t pay bills and rip suppliers off. Please, please never trade with them

Very poor and dirty. Not a hotel it is a hostel. I Wouldn't advise solo women to stay here. I left within 5 minutes of arrival as I didn't feel comfortable. I feel the advert is misleading and not a true description of the property. Would not recommend

This is not a hotel and shouldn't be advertised as such. It is a homeless hostel. The reception is cold and uninviting. Mist doorways say staff only. No facilities As a lone female I did not feel safe to stay and left. Wish I had read the reviews prior to booking.
