Consort Hotel

This used to be a lovely hotel. We arrived and there was a man sat outside drinking a can of beer. The reception was OK but a pram was parked in the reception. No lift so we walked up the stairs stair carpet threadbare and dirty.Very strong smell of ********. Room was appalling dirty beds were not clean hairs and dirt on skirting boards Mould in bathroom. Avoid at all costs. We were in the room 5mins and granddaughter got flea bites up her leg. Dreadful.

Very poor condition. Old and not maintained. Rooms are very old. Not sure if bedsheets were clean. As we got into the room, we found 3 beds, 1 double and 2 singles, we were only 2. The toilet seat was closed but when we opened it, there was pee in there! Staff not welcoming. Limited dining options.

Be aware, they charge you separately for the parking and then you get a fine to pay 100 pounds even though you followed all their instructions (put the reg number on the form and their electronic device). After that you start a long battle to sort out it with some contacts that are not responsible for the fine and they are trying to cancel it.... I am still trying to put an end of this terrible adventure.... Advice don't go there till the hotel changes their parking service!

Good service and standard, for the price A good base for a value hotel. Some of the decor is quite old but the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a very strong internet connection and air conditioning.

I booked this hotel as a last minute stay for myself and my 5 year old son. I booked the standard king room. We got to the hotel and checked in and went to our room. Upon entering the room I first noticed it was definitely not a king size bed but a double bed. There was no fridge in the room which the website description stated there was (I specifically booked this room for the fridge due to medication needing to be refrigerated). The room was so dusty and had a white powdery substance all over one of the nightstands. Even the tv remote was thick in dust. The walls were really dirty and marks all over them and the coffee cups were filthy. I walked into the bathroom and noticed puddles of water on the floor. This was coming from a badly rusted radiator on the bathroom wall. Towels that had been put on the radiator were covered in rust. I spoke to the receptionist about this as I was worried my son would slip over when using the bathroom but he just gave us extra towels to leave on the bathroom floor to soak up the water. I spoke to him about the room having no fridge and other facilities that the website stated they had. He told me that the executive/deluxe rooms upstairs had the fridges in. I showed him that I had booked a room with the fridge according to their website and my confirmation email however he said the website had recently been updated and the person who updated it must have got it wrong. After only 2 hours of being in the hotel we decided to leave, it was very noisy due to a party going on. Upon checkout I explained everything to the receptionist and he offered complimentary breakfast in the morning but after seeing the state of the hotel no way was I going to eat there. I did request a refund but was told no he would have to speak with the manager but I am still to hear back 3 days later. This hotel is meant to be a 3* but I’ve stayed in better 2* hotels in Benidorm. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this filthy place.
