Iberostar Selection Jardín del Sol Suites - Adults Only

Great views, nice large rooms with comfortable bed and generally the food is very good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Areas for improvement; 1 - the junior suites need refurbishment as they are dated; too much orange wood, brass fixture abs fittings and terracotta floor tiles. Shower is old and leaky 2 - pool could do with a swim up bar for convenience 3 - poolside would benefit from some low volume music to drown out the clattering of the bar and restaurant 4 - food is generally great but the piling sandwich is awful 5- dinner (no drinks) costs more than the best restaurants outside the hotel and that includes drinks. €46 for self service buffet food kept warm under a lamp shouldn’t cost more than a table service top restaurant.

Beautiful experience. The hotel is very nice, suite with sea view terrace, jacuzzi and sensation shower. Super fun activities with Marc and Matea. Highly recommend aquagym, paddle surf and the variety of fitness activities and workshops. Entertainment guys are doing really great job. Pool bar staff is incredibly helpful, especially Kiko, Juan and Jonatan. Lucia was very friendly at the check-in and hosting at the breakfast. The front desk manager very attentive too. Food is fantastic. Loved the ducklings at the pool. As a suggestion would put black out curtain in the bedroom. Recommend this hotel 100%

Honestly had the most wonderful stay with my partner. The ladies in the Star Prestige were so helpful and kind. The rooms were great, clean and spacious. The pool was fantastic. Can't recommend this hotel enough, myself and my partner are seriously considering returning next year!

We stayed for one week on half board in a Star Prestige Junior Suite and truly enjoyed our time at the hotel. Pros: - Spacious room with a large balcony - Comfortable bed - Cold minibar - Effective air conditioning (a little loud though) - Very clean rooms and public areas - Wide selection at the breakfast and dinner buffets, generally tasty food - Friendly, attentive staff – special thanks to Luci for her warm welcome in the restaurant and Juani for her perfect sense of humor and great service - Convenient water stations - Snacks and drinks available at the SP pool area - Adorable ducklings swimming in the main pool Cons: - Pillows were too big and firm for my taste (likely could have requested a different one) - Small shower room, the body jets didn’t add much value - Bathtub in the room felt unnecessary - Many sunbeds were reserved early but left unused for hours, with no one monitoring the situation - Some sunbeds were uncomfortable – the ones at the main pool area were better - Pool towel exchange times were inconsistent; sometimes fresh towels were available, sometimes not Overall impressions: The hotel is clean and well-maintained, though the rooms feel a little dated. Views are fantastic. We heard very little outside noise, though loading trucks may be an issue in some rooms. Since SP offers its own pool areas, we didn’t take part in the main pool activities. I didn't notice SP access issues: there are wristbands and different towel colors, but I often removed my wristband while sunbathing, so that wouldn’t indicate much. Thus, in my opinion, keeping the towel color different might be the best way to keep the area accessible only for those who actually pay to be there. The Iberostar app was useful, but for urgent matters it was easier to go directly to the reception or the spa. Half board was more than enough, especially with the SP poolside snacks. On our departure day, we opted for the complimentary courtesy room to shower before leaving, instead of paying extra for late check-out, which worked out perfectly. Suggestions for improvement: - Consider offering an “all-inclusive drinks” day pass, since lunch wasn’t really necessary but some guests might enjoy the option. Drink prices were reasonable (wine 5€, cocktail 8.5€, small beer 4€). - Simplify spa bookings with a direct scheduling system in the app, rather than back-and-forth messaging. - Replace or refresh some of the sunbed mattresses. - Improve pool towel service: providing fresh towels directly via housekeeping (with a clear place to leave used ones when leaving the pool area) could make the system more efficient. This way the SP rooms would automatically have the right color towels for the specific SP areas. In summary: We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week at this hotel. Despite a few minor inconveniences, the overall experience was excellent, and we would happily recommend it for a lovely vacation in Mallorca. We hope to return one day!

This was our second visit to the hotel staying in the Prestige suites. The hotel has a fantastic location at the end of the bay. A 15 minute or so walk to Santa Ponca beech and the quay where you can get a boat to Palma. Overall the hotel facilities and food are excellent. The buffet selection is huge with freshly cooked choices. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Sitting watching the boats and jet skis with a cocktail is wonderfully relaxing. Lovely choice of sun beds, including full sized beds. The evening entertainment in the main bar is low key with most singers coming, for some reason, from South Africa. The Flamenco group and the Fire Show were superb and most of the other acts were ok, except the Cuban evening. Our suite was fine with a good coffee machine and well filled mini bar. There is little room in the bedroom to get round the TV and it would be useful to have better lighting in the shower and a hook for the provided dressing gowns. It would also be useful to have proper bedside cabinets.
