Fairfield Inn & Suites Belle Vernon

Belle Vernon was a convenient stopover point on a trip to/from the midwest. The room was clean and comfortable other than the noisy HVAC unit. The advertised breakfast, however, was a huge disappointment. There were NO cold cereals, no bacon, no scrambled eggs or mini-omelettes. Management apologized, saying they ran out of those items the previous day, even though there was a WalMart down the street where they could have restocked. Nor was I advised at check-in that breakfast would be virtually nonexistent. Had I known, I would have canceled my reservation and stayed at a nearby Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn or Clarion Inn, all of which offer breakfasts. Instead, I had to check out, spend an hour and about $40 at a nearby restaurant in order to have the breakfast the FFI should have provided. I had a discussion with the on-duty manager, who was apologetic and offered to rebate some of the costs of the one-night stay. Two weeks later, that hasn’t happened. Between the lack of expected breakfast and the broken promise to rebate a portion of the cost, I cannot trust this hotel and would not recommend it to others. Despite the semi-rural location (just off I-70), there are numerous competitors in the area; in future I likely will stay elsewhere.

Good stay Friendly front desk people. Clean room. Cleaning person was courteous. No complaints here for what we needed
