Gull Lake View Golf Resort

Everyone was helpful and very friendly. The rooms were comfortable. A little dated but overall it was a great stay.

My husband and I, along with another couple just returned from 3 nights at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort. This was my husbands 6th time visiting this resort and my 3rd. Previously we stayed in the Villa suites but this trip we decided to book a cottage. The cottages are well laid out and very spacious. The kitchen is stocked with bare minimum of dishes and glassware (only 2 wine glassses) but enough to get through a couple days. The cottage was neat and tidy upon arrival but could use a deep clean. The beds need to be replaced sooner than later. We really appreciated having the front and side porch to sit out on and enjoy watching the cranes , chipmunks and bunnies. Having a putting green, chipping area and driving range accessible to guests enhanced our stay. The course conditions are impeccable. Challenging layouts and very well kept. The menu at Charles and Darls offers something for everyone and the take out sandwiches were excellent.

My cousins, family and I recently stayed at the Gull Lake View Golf Resort for 4 nights and 5 days. We played all five courses in the local area. All the courses were in excellent condition and I would play there again. On our final night, Wednesday, we were returning from Battlecreek after dinner. A turkey flew out of the tall grass in front of my Jeep smashing the drivers side front windshield. There were no auto glass shops that could get my car in until Friday. On Thursday morning I spoke with the office staff and Eric, the manager, said he would find a place for me to stay the extra night. The room he allowed me to stay at was out of this world. The next day I told him I would call an Uber to get to the Auto Glass place. He told me he would give me a ride over to the store. I asked him how much I owed for the night and the ride and he said nothing as I had already been through a lot. I offered to pay and he refused again. Talk about great customer service!!!!! The staff was friendly at all times from the check in, to the pro shop, as well as those personnel taking care of the villas. If I get to vote for the next golf outing with my family and cousins, you can bet Gull Lake View will be at the top of my list. Thanks again for all that you did for me during a difficult time while being out of state.

Had a good weekend of golf (five stars). Played four courses (Bedford Valley, Stonehedge South, Gull Lake View East and GLV West); three of which were great. Had never played the West course before and local knowledge would have been helpful on several holes. If you have not played West before you might want to stick with the other courses. There was no internet in our room (two stars) or in the Lodge. The oven in our room would not heat above 120 degrees. The refrigerator leaked, damaging most of our food. When I told the manager of the Inn (via email) about our room issues, she forwarded the email to the owner. He said the oven and refrigerator have since been replaced and the internet restored. He then verbally assaulted me because he's played the West course many times (generating local knowledge) and loves it. I was further yelled at for not telling him about the oven and refrigerator sooner. I was not expecting to be vilified for providing feedback (correct feedback as he did not challenge me that the oven and refrigerator needed to be replaced). I am still reeling from the assault, largely because I don't think I deserved it. I guess everyone has their own style; it's not the way I treated customers. But, as my mother often said, "That's what makes the world go around."
