Great place to stay ,short walk along the river into Ross or a few minutes b car . Very friendly and helpful staff , food excellent and tasty .

Good breakfast and location hence 2 stars. However, I felt I was being a nuisance when I asked for clean towel but the worst was finding a flea on the duvet the last morning (see pic) presume it was a flea as it jumped!! Home now and everything's going in the wash! Wouldn't stay again I'm afraid.

Avoid! Owners seem pissed at you if you ask anything. He signs at everything. Almost felt like I was intruding in his home. They don’t want the business and simply can not be bothered. Food is dry and burnt. The atmosphere is that of the shining and I honestly felt the owner could have turned jack Nicholson at any minute. They tried to encourage us to go to a local pub for food….hindsight is a wonderful thing. I really feel they have had a couple of years of bad business and have lost interest. I can say the bed was very comfy and the shower was nice but other than that I couldn’t wait to leave.

My husband and I have just spent a lovely night at this great hotel. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner Georgina who showed us to our room. Location is excellent with a lovely pub and the river a short walk away. Room was well equipped, pleasant and very clean. Breakfast was fine, I am Vegan and the hotel accommodated me. We were going to dine at the restaurant the night we arrived, but the owner Steve warned us that it was very quiet as all the other guests were dining out. We were extremely impressed by this, he could have just left us dine there and made money.

This hotel is a little gem run by kind and hospitable people. The room I stayed in was perfect - clean, large and exceptional value for money. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. To the lovely lady who waited up for my arrival - thank you so much for that pint of ice cubes, together with cool bath it really saved my life, Rob

A great 3 night stay,
Hosts Georgina & Steve were professional, helpful & friendly - top class.
Food was superb with great variety, steak & ale pie was a must eat choice, full English breakfast was piping hot and a great setup for the day ahead. Room was comfortable with reliable WiFi. Parking was spacious. We had a great three night stay and look forward to returning.

We felt at home throughout. Great location, a short picturesque walk down the river into Ross on wye. Lovely breakfast, did everything to cater for ourselves and our two year old. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
