Have eaten here many times in the last 6 months and love it. From the moment you enter the staff are wonderful. Service is outstanding and the food is beautiful. Very good menu and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed 😌 🙂 ✨️

Had a few folks along with me for another amazing meal tonight at Jacksons Restaurant Roscommon. The menu has a varied selection of starters and mains and is very reasonably priced. Quality is top notch. All our meals were excellent, we chose the duck, steak, roast beef, catch of the day (hake) and beef stir fry. I loved the Banoff cheesecake and the apple pie was a hit too. Everyone from the manager to the staff are so nice. A very nice experience all together.

We had our sons communion in jacksons restaurant. The service was excellent. The manager was very welcoming and sorted any requests we had for the day. The food was lovely. The roast beef was delicious. All the family complemented the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Stayed here as I was attending a wedding. Will not return. The room was over priced for what it was. Carpet, bathroom everything was dirty. The worst was i took a pillow from the cupboard and it was covered in blood stains. I nearly got sick. Furniture was old and chipped and the sick in the bathroom had a chunk taken out. The shower was like a coffin and the water was either freezing or boiling hot. The drain in the shower was full of black hair. There was loose black hair all over the floor. Toilet bin was rusted . Sink had no mixer tap only a plug on a loose string. Toilet paper holder was empty with a half a toilet roll thrown on the floor. The only good thing I could say was the towels were clean other than that it was filthy. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody!

The room was spacious, but it felt like this had been a very low cost accommodation that had been given a quick face lift. The carpet was stained, you could see stains on the walls under a thin coat of emulation, the curtains were hanging off the rail. The shower room had a new toilet and sink, the hot tap just went round, unfortunately the shower had not, and we wouldn’t use it. Also all soap etc were factory size, not the sort usually found in a guest house. Then there was the visitors coming up the stairs at 3am knocking on another room door. We only stayed the night and couldn’t wait until morning.

When we arrived, we were allowed to check in early to one of our rooms and we did because we thought we could leave our bags there. When we went into the room, it was obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned yet. The bed was unmade and there were empty water bottles lying around. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned yet either. We handed back the key and informed staff of the situation. We checked in again later in the day, and later on that night when we returned to our rooms, I noticed in my room that the bathroom filled with the stench of sewage whenever the toilet was flushed, the bulb in the bedside lamp was blown, there was no toilet paper in the dispenser, the tiles in the shower were mouldy, and there were no hangers in the wardrobe. The duvet did not have a cover on it. As the restaurant and front desk were closed by the time we discovered these problems, there was no-one around to fix them. I would only recommend this place if you’re absolutely desperate.
