Hotel is beautiful. Very Spanish not many English but that’s not a bad thing as there’s no rush for getting sun beds. Food was delicious and all very fresh. The hotel and pool areas were all spotless. Such a lovely hotel we can’t wait to return.
Response from Property: Dear Chelsea, We are delighted to know that the ambience of our hotel has been to your liking and that different aspects such as our food and pool service have met your needs. It is exciting to know that our guests experience days full of relaxation and calm in our facilities. We can only hope to welcome you again in the future to continue living unique moments together with you. Kindest regards, Mediterráneo Bay Hotel Spa & Resort

I stayed here as a family of 3 adults 1 child during May half term. Overall the pools were fun for my child but I was disappointed for the price we paid. I will elaborate if you wish to read a long review... Check in - we arrived at 9.30 pm and Alba on reception was very friendly and helpful and sent us for dinner before checking us in as they finish serving at 10pm. Luis (who was great all week) helped us find the correct restaurant as there are 3 near the lobby. His English is limited but always very friendly and helpful. Things then went downhill as the lady at the restaurant insisted on a room number or wristband but we hasn't checked in yet, we persuaded her eventually but she struggled to understand why I hadn't checked in yet. Room- was a good size, clean and had the sea view we paid for. The Balcony chairs were a bit flimsy and the balcony wall was a bit dirty. Again things went downhill in term of the door lock. The handle had been loose and difficult to get the door to open from arrival but twice during the holiday we were locked out of the room due to the door lock being faulty - this was for hours at a time. Initially the lady on reception was very curt and suggested it was my fault for storing the key near my phone and didn't apologise - gave us 2 new keys which didn't work either (like I said this was an issue with the door not the key). Someone was sent to fix it which took over an hour. The next day we got locked out after breakfast and I hadn't taken my bag so had to money or sunscreen. By 11.30 it was still broken so I politely but firmly asked for them to hurry up as the whole family was stuck in the bar inside as we didn't want to get sunburnt. About 15 mins later a maintenance man was sent to the room luckily we found him as he was able to check our keys worked before leaving, he was very friendly and helpful. Pools- This is where to hotel should excel but again it was let down by some issues. The lagoon pool near the new swim up rooms was shut on and off throughout the holiday, not sure why we were thrown out by a lifeguard one day and on another day it was full of palm tree offcuts as they were chopping them back by the pool (not sure why this wasn't done before the opened for the season or before the pool was filled up after shutting it?) There was some confusion by Jet2 who insisted this pool was fully open- but it wasn't. The main adult pool is OK but can get busy as the other pool was shut. The children's pool with the fire engine seemed great but the water didn't turn on till 11am (my child really wanted to go in right after breakfast at 9.30/10am). It was poorly maintained on close inspection, quite rusty in places and some broken bits (again I would expect this to be fixed out of season). The slide pool was good for older children but most of the nearby sunbeds the elastic or height adjustment is broken so not very comfy. Lifeguard provision was hit and miss - there are 2 lifeguards which patrol all pools but seem

We recently stayed here (27 Oct-3Nov), and the week started off well. The hotel was quieter in the beginning, and we enjoyed the food, which was fairly good, and the bar service, which was attentive and efficient. Our room was comfortable enough, although having two double beds wasn’t ideal for our kids. At first, the queues for the restaurant weren’t too bad, and things seemed to run smoothly. However, on the Friday of our stay, which happened to be a bank holiday in Spain, the hotel became extremely busy, and unfortunately, it felt like they weren’t prepared for it at all. There seemed to be no additional staff on hand, which led to long queues everywhere. We waited over 20 minutes just to be seated in the restaurant, and the bars were chaotic. What had been a pleasant stay quickly turned into a frustrating experience. It was clear the staff were doing their best, but they looked understandably overwhelmed. I felt sorry for the bar and waiting staff, who seemed to be at the end of their tether trying to keep up with the influx of guests. While we enjoyed the start of our stay, the lack of planning for the holiday crowds made our overall experience disappointing.

Original review removed, visited May 2023.room leaked when it rained , we were moved but got a smaller room. Food was mediocre but when Spanish came for weekend stays it was quite lavish. Whole of it needs updating. More for Spanish than English and definite divide on service

Visited this hotel as a family or 8 6 adults 2 children honestly couldn't fault the rooms or the pools drinks were great aswell on all-inclusive. The views were amazing and just round the corner is a bike hire for eletric bikes buggys and scooters wich we did every day. Food wasn't the best so if your headed here for the food I personally wouldn't but if your going for an amazing hotel close to shops and restaurants then do there's a Chinese up the road wich was unreal and good price. The beach was OK the sea is a shipping lane and right at the shore the sand drops off so is very deep not suitable for kids in my opinion no space to even have a paddle before it drops off and it isn't sand it's more like gravel. Staff were abit miserable but not rude. If your going with kids wich I did the pools are really good but there isn't a park close by or on site and there's nothing much for the kids to do there is an arcade downstairs but it was so hot down there and and I personally didn't want to stand in a hot tiny room full of kids for hours on end 😅 Reception staff were very helpful aswell. Just up the road there's a town with jet skis and a castle loads of shops and restaurants aswell took 2 mins on the bus and the bus was very cheap and you can catch it from just outside the hotel. Absolutely loved the holiday but personally would visit again but if your headed to this location it was definatly the nicest one on the whole seafront. Snack bar was absolutely rubbish and snacks and ice cream were non existent on the all inclusive.

Fantastic hotel, the pools were great for kids and adults, the food and drinks were spot on, the drinks were not watered down and the food was delicious and hot. Entertainment varied but for us we didn’t bother with it anyway as we like to do our own thing. Rooms were clean and spacious and we had a great pool/sea view. I have read many comments about staff being rude and grumpy, they work hard they are there before you get out of bed and still there after you have gone bed. I think calling them rude/ grumpy is harsh if you actually look at what they do all day! I think overall this hotel is amazing, we had a great time. 5/5 from us!!!!!

I have stayed here with my family,my wife and our two children. The hotel looks the par straight away just to enter.Clean and very modern.I will try to sum up our experience in the hotel over our one week get away with family.First I do need to mention that I was quite surprised of the limited english knowledge in this hotel. The reception hardly speaks any and hence why they are trying to get rid of you with a very short answers and no help whatsoever. But we did not let our holiday to be spoiled by this. Then the bedrooms they were cleaned very sporadically in a week we stayed they were cleaned twice and not very good. But in general the room was ok.Nice, seemed recently refurbished and with the views to the pool. Our kids loved the pool side with the various slides and that may be the reason my review won't be as harsh as it would have been. But to be honest outside really good and reasonably clean. In the bar again the interaction very scarse since anyone hardly speaks any english but in general again not to complain too much. The main restaurant is the cherry of the hotel and I Will explain why.First the food was very good and plenty of choices. My little ones loved the chocolate fountain. You have fresh meat and fish cooked in front of you, pizza freshly made and plenty of food to choose from.So quite satisfied there. However what I would like to highlight of our whole stay would be the restaurant manager Yarrow who not only is the only one who speaks native perfect english but his treatment towards ours and Will tell you not only our family.I have observed him with my wife and he was very professional with many other guests and very charming at the very same time. For a while we thought he was the owner because this guy I will honestly say have not seen anyone work as hard as him in my years of travel in different hotels. We dined he was there serving, cleaning, mopping the floor in the morning the same.If not cleaning the chairs he was sweeping the floor. And to our astonishment on our leaving day we went to say bye and as a thank you we wanted to give him 50euros tip for his service to our family and he politely refused and told us he is not working for tips but rather have us to leave a review about our stay.So here we are.An exemplary employee the company should cherrish. Will be definitelly planning our return.Thank you.

The staff were professional friendly, hardworking, efficient, polite and did their very best every day, in assuring a wonderful stay. From easy booking, the clean bedroom to the pools, bar or eating area, spotless and as well organized as a beehive. You never see an employee, not a single one in a weeks stay,on their telephone, they are working. Admirable. The food was delicious. Over a week , just one lovely dish after another and always someone at hand to take an empty plate. They treat you like a king. Very clean, well organized and well managed. The lieu is brilliant. A few meters from the beach, Just absolutely perfect. A heartfelt thank you to the whole team in making our holiday here such a memorable one. Gracias.

My recent stay at the Mediterráneo Bay and Spa Hotel was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling frustrated and unhappy throughout the experience. From the moment we arrived, the initial room assigned to us was in a shocking state. It was filthy, with hair absolutely everywhere—on the bedding, the floors, and even the bathroom. An overpowering foul odor came from the toilet, which had visible feces seeping from the tank. To make matters worse, the bathroom included a bidet without a cover, and the thought of having something that someone else has sat on in the same space where I was expected to shower and use the toilet made my skin absolutely crawl. There was no ventilation or windows in the toilet, making it awfully hot, stuffy, and smelly. The amount of dust was horrific, and it felt like we were breathing in dust, which is why I felt compelled to buy my own cleaning products to make the room more bearable. There was also mold everywhere—in the shower, around the sink, and in the bathtub—creating an unsanitary environment. For my own sanity I braved everything and cleaned and scrubbed the bathroom with my cleaning products I purchased yet that should have never been my responsibility or job. To top it off, there was a crumbled hole in the wall that only added to the overall neglect. While the manager, Parco, was somewhat accommodating and arranged a room change, the issues didn't stop there. The very next day, after placing the "Make Up My Room" sign outside, we returned to find that our room hadn’t been serviced at all. This miscommunication was frustrating, particularly since we had left the room for lunch specifically to allow the staff to clean. To make matters worse, the cleaner lied, claiming we put the sign out at 3 PM, even though we left for lunch at 1 PM and clearly saw her cleaning other rooms. The ongoing issues only heightened my germ anxiety; even in the new room, I struggled to relax and could barely sleep, feeling constantly on edge about the cleanliness. I was so exhausted, yet I was on holiday, which was incredibly disheartening. Dining was another source of frustration. One woman at the grill exhibited blatant favoritism, clearly prioritizing Spanish-speaking guests over others. After waiting a long time in line and making our order for the meat we wanted, it was disheartening to see our order given to someone else simply because of this favoritism. I called her out on her behavior, and she didn't even have the decency to apologize but only looked embarrassed. This not only wasted our time but also added to our irritation. The confusion over our half-board arrangement was infuriating; we were told at check-in by a female member of staff that we could choose between breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner, but when we tried to have dinner, we were unexpectedly informed that we would have to pay extra. We went to try and resolve this issue at the reception desk, only to be made to feel as though we were liars. To mak

Not a bad hotel, however the rooms lack mirrors, there is a large single mirror in the bathroom, but we ladies like to check ourselves full length, this is not possible here. The food is very good, with lots and lots of choice available. If travelling with children, they will love and did love the chocolate fountain to add to anything. Reception staff speak halting English and ar very helpful. A nice hotel and one I would recommend.

Over all ok hotel. Room was adequate and cleaned daily if needed. Food was nothing special very much average. Not much choice. Hot food was mainly warm or cold. . Jerad ???, the restaurant manager was excellent. A's he was the only one who could speak good English we asked him many things. Places to go etc. . Tables was always clean and service was great. A credit to the running of the restaurant from him as he has not been there long . Not a lot to do in the area.

Overall an enjoyable holiday here,…the room with a sea view was lovely and worth the extra money! The food was plentiful, good choice and something to suit everyone although it’s wasn’t always that hot! Gym you had to pay for which was unusual … safe in room was broken which was a little disappointing

Really enjoyed the stay. Staff, lovely reception from all the staff, very friendly, Catering and Bar Staff fantastic. Rooms, spacious and very clean, comfy beds and nice balcony on top floor with beautiful views over the beach, House Staff always on the go and all of them say hello. Food, no complaints at all. Nice variety everyday and plenty of it. This is very much a Spanish Resort so don't expect Irish or English Bars in the vacinity, they are not there. Local to the hotel are beach bars for tapas, restaurants and local transport a plenty. Great promenade to walk along and do something different everyday (10 day stay). Would we go back here, YES
