My recent stay at the Mediterráneo Bay and Spa Hotel was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling frustrated and unhappy throughout the experience. From the moment we arrived, the initial room assigned to us was in a shocking state. It was filthy, with hair absolutely everywhere—on the bedding, the floors, and even the bathroom. An overpowering foul odor came from the toilet, which had visible feces seeping from the tank. To make matters worse, the bathroom included a bidet without a cover, and the thought of having something that someone else has sat on in the same space where I was expected to shower and use the toilet made my skin absolutely crawl. There was no ventilation or windows in the toilet, making it awfully hot, stuffy, and smelly. The amount of dust was horrific, and it felt like we were breathing in dust, which is why I felt compelled to buy my own cleaning products to make the room more bearable. There was also mold everywhere—in the shower, around the sink, and in the bathtub—creating an unsanitary environment. For my own sanity I braved everything and cleaned and scrubbed the bathroom with my cleaning products I purchased yet that should have never been my responsibility or job. To top it off, there was a crumbled hole in the wall that only added to the overall neglect. While the manager, Parco, was somewhat accommodating and arranged a room change, the issues didn't stop there. The very next day, after placing the "Make Up My Room" sign outside, we returned to find that our room hadn’t been serviced at all. This miscommunication was frustrating, particularly since we had left the room for lunch specifically to allow the staff to clean. To make matters worse, the cleaner lied, claiming we put the sign out at 3 PM, even though we left for lunch at 1 PM and clearly saw her cleaning other rooms. The ongoing issues only heightened my germ anxiety; even in the new room, I struggled to relax and could barely sleep, feeling constantly on edge about the cleanliness. I was so exhausted, yet I was on holiday, which was incredibly disheartening. Dining was another source of frustration. One woman at the grill exhibited blatant favoritism, clearly prioritizing Spanish-speaking guests over others. After waiting a long time in line and making our order for the meat we wanted, it was disheartening to see our order given to someone else simply because of this favoritism. I called her out on her behavior, and she didn't even have the decency to apologize but only looked embarrassed. This not only wasted our time but also added to our irritation. The confusion over our half-board arrangement was infuriating; we were told at check-in by a female member of staff that we could choose between breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner, but when we tried to have dinner, we were unexpectedly informed that we would have to pay extra. We went to try and resolve this issue at the reception desk, only to be made to feel as though we were liars. To mak
