Hotels with Rooftop Pools in Motobu

"It is convenient to reach the resort via express bus from Naha Bus Terminal or from the airport. Bus 117 goes directly to the resort front lobby, a 2.5 hours Bus ride as we did not drive. Once you alighted from the bus, you are greeted by the emerald-coloured sea, made me felt so relaxed and worth the bus ride. The room is big and overlooked the sea, I can sit at the balcony and enjoy the view with a cup of tea all day long. The resort is within the Ocean Expo Park, so can just walk to the Okinawa Chutaumi Aquarium and the various sites. The Emerald beach is right in front of the resort and can just walk over after breakfast to enjoy the cool sea breeze and sea water. We will definitely stay at this resort again if we come back to okinawa again."

"The 888 express bus service is convenient, taking 2.5 to 3 hours to get you directly to the hotel entrance. The hotel's convenience store, however, closes rather early at 10 PM. While there's a hot spring open until 11 PM and a swimming pool on the first floor, we didn't get a chance to use the pool due to our plans to visit JUNGL IA. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, although housekeeping only replaced the towels and didn't make the bed."

"Very relaxing, beautiful view. Has its own little promenade with food and few of shops, can find everything u need right there. Close to the Okinawa churaumi aquarium and another place to visit dolphins. Great friendly staff and provided us a great impression. Delicious breakfast with western and japanese style food, got a kick start on our day!! Public bath on the floor is very neat amd relax. Greatly recommend this place and will return again when i visit."

"The hotel is located near beautiful and clean Sesoko beach with marvellous sea abundant with great variety of fish. A perfect location for swimming and snorkeling. Sesoko beach and fantastic view thereof from our balcony has been a huge, but unfortunately the only advantage of the hotel. If you don’t rent a car, you have to be ready for the situation when you are unable to leave the hotel at all. It’s very hard to call a taxi either via Uber or even via local taxi app “Go”. The hotel staff does not provide too much help with this issue either, even when requested to book a taxi to the airport (to be fair hotel concierge finally managed to arrange a car for us, but it arrives 30 minutes late, despite our request being extended at least 12 hours before the planned departure). The hotel management is apparently aware of the transport inconvenience for their guests, but do not seem to care about that at all: they’ve chosen the easiest way “to cope” with the problem: just smile and say “sorry”. There’s another advantage of such approach for the hotel: if guests cannot leave the hotel easily, they wouldn’t have much lunch/dining choice other than having meals in the hotel. And here we come to another issue with the hotel: a very mediocre choice of dining options (no Japanese cuisine options at all) and extremely poor menu (with even poorer service) in the only available lunch venue. Breakfasts are below expectations as well: absolutely same food every morning (the only change from day to day: fried salmon/fried mackerel), no fresh fish/sea-food (we’re still in Japan, aren’t we?), almost no choice of fruits. Verdict: a very overrated hotel, pretty mediocre itself, but located beside the gorgeous sea."

"The worst hotel I ever stayed.  Didn’t value customer.  They can decide to change breakfast arrangement without informing customer in advance, and also deny that they had committed to providing buffet breakfast when buffet breakfast was stated at the website. When we did the booking, it did mentioned is buffet breakfast, and the booking fees we paid as compared to without buffet breakfast is with the difference of JPY3000 per person.  However, when we checked-in, we are told the buffet breakfast has been catered by the restaurant for student group. Other hotel guests (including us) are then only provided ‘packaged box breakfast’ which is equiv. JPY500. This is a huge difference compared to the JPY3000 that we paid in addition for buffet breakfast.They denied promising on the buffet breakfast. It is inconvenienced for food/dinner as although there is restaurant opposite the hotel, the restaurant will charge you JPY550 per person for table fee. We end up to drive 10 minutes further for breakfast and dinner.  There are plenty of cheap restaurant over there.  The following are the replied form hotel on our feedback: Convey check-in instructions Please note that your booking includes breakfast, but it is not guaranteed to be a buffet. Breakfast is typically served buffet-style at the restaurant Ilikai, featuring Okinawan, Japanese, and Western dishes made with island vegetables, along with desserts. We kindly ask for your understanding that the buffet may be replaced with a Japanese- Western set menu based on reservation availability."

"The environment is very beautiful. There is a little black cat basking in the sun every morning in the small garden. The kitchen is well equipped. Our family bought local fresh ingredients from a nearby supermarket and ate hot pot directly in the B&B. Disadvantages: There is only one bathroom. Our family of five has to queue up to take a shower at night, which is a bit inconvenient. In addition, the bed is not very comfortable. The pillow is very thin. I don't sleep well."

"The room was large and amenities were available, and it was very comfortable to spend. The pool was beautiful and it was good to be able to lend beach balls for free. If you leave the door open, such as gecko, you will come in immediately, so be careful if you are not good at insects. (I didn't care) The key points were cleaned cleanly, but the windows and fine places facing the pool were quite dirty and it was a pity. However, when I went to Okinawa again, it was a facility that I was satisfied enough to ask."
