The receptionist is super friendly. The room is clean and tidy but not looking very good in maintenance.

Nothing wrong with hotel staff or food. The rooms however are unbearably hot. To the point you could barely get ready in them for a night out as you would be dripping with sweat 30 seconds after stepping out of the shower. I’ve been informed that if the hotel states there is no air con then there’s nothing they can do but having a flimsy fan blowing the hot air around the room is not a solution to the issue. We stayed on the highest floor in room 211 and the heat was 27.5 degrees every minute of the day even during the night when it’s cold outside. This made a very uncomfortable sleep for us both. Would not stay in a premier inn without air con again.

Room & bathroom were very clean. Room was airy with no street noise once the window was closed. The best thing about this stay was the bed, it was so comfortable, both of us slept as soundly as if we were in our own bed at home - I want one of these Premier Inn Silentnight mattresses.

Please be aware of this premier inn hotel it has changed, not as good as it has been in the past, the beds in the rooms are definitely smaller making sleeping uncomfortable, no extra couch in the double rooms now and the heater doesn’t always work, chair in room was old and needed a repair, no biscuits anymore with tea and coffee, takes at least 10 minutes to check in as it is slow

DO NOT park in the overflow car park, had our back window smashed and belongings stolen, another person told us the same thing had happened a week early to a van, yet no extra security taken. CCTV to that end is poor so chances of anything happening about it is slim.

Premier Inn on the east side of Romford Town Centre, just 10 minutes walk away from shops and transport facilities, is perfectly located enhanced by the free parking just requiring registration at reception for the entire stay. Large car park here, that usually fills up and becomes full towards the early evening, so get here early. There is an overflow car park at the parking exit, but the multitude of loose glass fragments laying on the ground is a red flag to parking there. The hotel would benefit from improved CCTV, lighting and patrols there to match the safety of the main car park. There is a large shopping mall and Asda located on the same road a few minutes away. The railway station is an easy short walk over from the town centre. We stayed 4 nights. Arrival after 3pm resulted in a 10 minute wait, pressing the provided buzzer twice, waiting for a member of staff. However, when they arrived, they were indeed friendly and efficient. We was allocated a ground floor room in their separate building located on the other side of the car park. I think we would have preferred a room on this side as it was convenient and quiet. The room was basic but functional. Clean. Very comfy bed and a 4 night perfect Premier Inn sleep. The shower and bathroom was modern and great, shower pressure was over bath and strong. The pillows were quite thin, but Premier Inn provide spare clean pillows from a sealed bag located in the room. However, our spare pillows smelt of sweat and were not sealed. A cleaning issue here. A walk over to reception quickly rectified this issue. No air conditioning here but the room was equipped with a large fan, helpful for the summer nights in Romford. If you would like your room cleaned, between nights, you need to ask reception before 1200 to request this service. We requested this at 0945 between the second and third night. We also reported the defective hair dryer. Neither was serviced and it was another visit to reception to request for between the third and fourth night. This was completed a day later with an apology for the faults here. The towels are fluffy and soft and despite some service failures, towels were always readily available from reception. The hotel is attached to the Liberty Bell Beefeater. We had both breakfast and dinner here without booking. Breakfast is al a carte for cooked options, with a good continental buffet. Staff very friendly, the food was top notch. All food was consistently fresh, perfectly cooked, including all the meats on the mixed grill. Lots of food options nearby in Romford but you cannot beat the convenience of the quality here just steps away from your room. Check out was quick and simple. Overall, sleep, comfort, food are indeed Premier. Cleaning and repair service not so Premier. Only park in the main car park if you can. If needed practically, we will be back to the Premier Inn Mercury Gardens.

..rooms are outdated, the shower is over a bath tub and there was no handle to get out so I nearly fell twice. I was also given the wrong room.

Omg after the last review not much changed here been booked back in here over the past 3 months and still the awfull sewage stink in the stairwell is disgusting. Enough to make you sick .3 months and nothing been done about it this premier inn is to avoid trully in poor condition. The rooms tho may look clean trust me there not in a desperate need of an upgrade. Too.can't believe that they seem to avoid the drainage issues after all this time ..

Had a single night in this place, arrived just after check-in was available to find that the computers were having an issue and found that it was going to be one of those days! After a long drive not something we really needed. Was given two key cards to a room at the end of the building, just about the entrance to the bar below. First card did not work, prayed the second would and it did. On entering the room I was greeted by the strong smell of smoke, found the window open and bar patrons below the window smoking. So closed the window on this warm day and waited for the smell to disoppate. Then laid down on the bed to see if that was going to add to my misfortune, but no, as I expected of a Premier Inn the bed was perfect. So decided to switch the TV on and unwind. Sadly not to be. All the TV channels were breaking up and this was the last straw. Returned to the desk to find two staff on at this point, both having computer issues. Told them of the issues and asked to move, was told this was not possible due to the full hotel, was offered a complementary breakfast, but we had already paid for that, so then there was nothing else they could do, as their technical guy did not work weekends, so no TV fix. So we just had to make do. So returned to the room now with two working keys, after making sure our car had been registered on our arrival, which it had not, but was corrected on this second trip to the desk. Surely we could look forward to a good evening meal at the table we booked. Not sure if I write about that farce here, but to keep it short, it was not good. For our stay the staff were courteous, but clearly couldn't do anything to help improve the situation, not sure why, but this was not what I expected from a Premier Inn at all.
