Hotel Locarno Reviews

A gem of a hotel in the heart of Rome. This was my fifth stay at Hotel Locarno (my first visit was back in the summer of 2011, before its renovation), which keeps delivering superb service in a beautiful Roman setting. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel, do come for lunch, dinner or an aperitivo in the garden. Already looking forward to my next stay here.

From the moment we arrived the service was attentive and superior in every way - nothing was too much trouble! We had a wonder day trip up to Villa D’Este organised by the Locarno staff! Beautiful breakfasts each morning in the garden - it was our oasis for 8 days!

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I have never given a bad review. The whole hotel is very old and stuffy. The most important thing is that you have to stand in the bathtub to take a shower. You can't stand steadily in the bathtub and slip at any time. The water leaks all over the floor. The hall is full of water. The shower gel is clumpy and the bath towel is also dirty. The price is too bad! And the sound insulation is too poor. You can hear the conversation in the next room clearly. I don't know how Ctrip got a high score of 4.7! This hotel is not worth 2,000 yuan.
