This was an excellent couples resort but soon to be a family resort within the Sandals family called Beaches. Excited to return with kids. From what I can gather, they plan to redo the resort and obviously the housing to accommodate families. The location is excellent

La playa es hermosa, el agua ideal con temperatura entre 29 y 30 grados, poca gente, super tranquila. Nos tocaron dias hermosos, con viento. El personal podría atender mejor, se toman su tiempo para todo. Tenias un equipo de Buttler que nos reservaba la sombrilla y traia tragos. Todos muy atentos con algunas falencias, pero cumplidores. Sería útil que hubiera personal bilingue.

We would come here every other year, alternating between Emerald Bay and different resorts in Jamaica. We have been here 4 times. This years alternate is Sandals Dunn's River. Loved this place. Shame they are changing it to a Beaches. Big mistake in my opinion. We live in Edison New Jersey. Unfortunately no direct flight. If there was a direct flight from Newark we would have come here every year. I worked in the fashion business for almost 20 years. In that time I probably flew 1/2 million miles. Our last fight in November 23 was on Delta Airlines. The worst flight in my life. Never fly Delta again. I cant see people with small children coming here because of the connecting flights. Should have worked out a flight once a week from Newark NJ. Would have kept the place full. Great golf course. We will miss you Emerald Bay. They just closed this resort with 2 weeks notice and canceled our vacation!!! We were planning our 5th Sandals vacation and paid in full. Now i have a couple of weeks to find another place to go while they tied up 10,000.00 on my credit card. This is a disgrace - 2 weeks!

Sandals the company does not care about their customers. I wish sandals was as loyal to their customers as their customers are to them. What they did to people who were booked there is just wrong. Was going for my 40th wedding anniversary. Will never go back to beaches and may never go back to any sandals property. No good customer care or support

This will be my shortest review ever. Informed today August 1st that Sandals Emerald Bay is closing on August 15th. for renovations to become a Beaches Resort. That is just two weeks notice, expected better. They have obviously known about this for months, we now have two long haul and two Bahamas Air flights to deal with, all non refundable.

Pagamos por um quarto de frente para o mar, lindo, moderno e com serviço de um butler, e deram para nós um quarto velho, com a limpeza pessima, móveis velhos, ar condicionado extremamente barulhento e colchão marcado ( quando fica fundo). Eu desacreditei! Venho aqui mostrar nas fotos o nível em que o hotel está e que dizer que o site é uma enganação! Não vale o que paga!

We have been going to this resort for years always the Villa with private pool and have felt like we were home! WAIT - this will no longer be the case. Emerald Bay is now going to be a BEACHES!!! This is a huge loss to the group of Sandals adult resort list. We were notified via email on 7/31 that the resort is closing to become Sandals BEACHES on 8/15. We have December and March reservations for the next three years already booked. Major phone work yesterday. I feel like I have lost home away from home and very dear friends. You will all be missed. Since we love the Sandals products we will remain loyal and maybe see you at another resort in the future. God Bless you all, My sincere thanks to Jeremy and his staff for many happy years.
