The Jolly Drover

Even though I arrived early, no problem. Staff polite and efficient. Room very clean, tidy and well prepared, mint chocs included! Dinner was excellent, service good considering how busy it was. Opted for “pie of the day” which was excellent with the fresh veg. Would stay there again.

Had a two night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were replaced daily. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if in the area.

My family have just spent a lovely evening in the Jolly driver and enjoyed a super meal. Mi Mi and Freyer were extremely well presented in Summer dresses and welcomed us with broad smiles. Their presentation and service were excellent and by far the best we have received at The Jolly Driver. Alas for us, Freyer has just qualified as a nurse (congratulations) and probably won’t be around for long and Mi Mi, will depart soon to commence her studies in ‘Performing Arts’ at the University of Brighton (for which we wish you the very best). Good luck to both of you in your new endeavours and thank you.

From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The roast dinner was outstanding!! Flavours were incredible. Returning soon. The meat was cooked to perfection and the gravy was one of the nicest I had had in a long time. Vegetables were plentiful and everything was beautifully presented.

A great pub in a quiet location, about 30 minutes from Goodwood, perfect for us! The rooms have been recently refurbished and had everything you could possibly need, including an iron and board, hairdryer, extra bedding and a fan! We particularly liked the little cafetière and premium coffee/selection of hot drinks in the room. The bathroom was lovely with a large shower enclosure and rainfall shower. We had an evening meal as well as breakfast. My goodness what a surprise! The food was absolutely delicious, the chef paid great attention to detail and each plate of food wouldn’t look out of place in a Master Chef final! My sea bass was just perfect. Breakfast was equally delicious. A great selection of fruit juice, cereals, teas and coffee to accompany an English Breakfast all cooked to order. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were all cheerful and couldn’t do enough for us. A gem of a find!

We have been for a meal with friends several times now. The choice is good and we all enjoyed our different meals. The service is excellent with loverly helpful staff. A bonus is the presentation which I really appreciate. I am looking forward to eating at the Jolly Drover again.

Perfect place to stay for couple of nights whilst attending a family wedding. We ate in the Restaurant great menu choice and lovely meal. The staff were friendly. Sharon's freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. She couldn't have been more attentive. Everything freshly cooked..local fare..soo tasty yum.

My wife, Brother-in-Law and I had a lunch on Sunday 12th May. We had a most enjoyable meal. From booking to leaving we found the staff, mostly young ladies and lads together with The Manager to be extremely friendly, professional and courteous throughout. The service we received was first class. We have no hesitation in recommending THE JOLLY DROVER to guarantee excellent service. We are more than happy for these comments to be used.

Perfect stay! The room was clean, spacious and very quiet - we had an early night and we weren’t disturbed once! The staff were very friendly staff and welcoming and it’s set in a beautiful area - couldn’t be happier with our stay! Thank you for having us!
