Friendly and welcoming when checking in. Everything as expected. Room is comfy and well equipped with anything you might need. Breakfast was excellent 👌🏻. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely hotel lovely staff,very good food and a good breakfast. Very helpful with booking with having to cancel a room and providing local cabs for the trip I had planned. 3rd or 4th stay and would stay again.

Perfect place. We stayed a night after coming off the Portsmouth ferry late. They kept the pub open just late enough for us to arrive and get a pint before closing time. The room was very clean and comfortable. The next morning Sharon prepared a delicious breakfast for us and we had a nice chat with her. I’ve stayed at quite a few Pub-Inn style places and the Drover was as good or better than any of them. Highly recommended and looking forward to staying here again.

A lifetime of motorcycle travel across multiple continents and this place is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Great accommodating staff, good beer selection and a proper pub atmosphere. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and better appointed than rooms at the Ritz-Carlton, comfy beds, upgraded bathroom and plenty of storage. The breakfast itself was worth the cost of the room. Sharon the cook is a wizard in the kitchen and personable as well, she even posed for a photo. Next time in the UK, this is where I'll stay.

Delighted to discover this friendly, well run pub with quiet annexed twin bed rooms. Very polite and welcoming phone call reservation, equally met with lovely community welcome on our arrival. We were looking for an overnight to break our journey to the Portsmouth Ferries. (This turned out to be a great decision with the ever expanding road network approaching the Portsmouth Ferry Terminals. Superb choice of food and convenient parking right outside our easily accessible room. We look forward to staying here again for its high quality and convenience in travelling

We often visit the Drovers if going out for lunch or dinner, the staff are really welcoming. We have worked our way through the menu and specials board it is the best lamb shank I have had. All the food is tasty and made to order and always hot, nothing is too much trouble for the welcoming team.

I've stayed at the jolly drover many times and cant praise it enough ..food outstanding 5 stars..friendly staff couldnt do enough for you especiallymegan and jake . Friday night they had a live band which was great.amazing atmosphere.rooms lovely and clean well kept ..will be back very soon
