As a family of 6, we spent 4 nights in Christian's Riad (yes, I'm specifying because he made it clear that it's his place). We strongly advise against this establishment. It is in no way a 4* hotel but a bed and breakfast with a disrespectful, intrusive and completely uninhibited owner. To illustrate this, here are some mind-blowing examples from the owner: -He allows himself to enter my girlfriend's room without warning or knocking on the door. After the remonstrance, he comes back the next day this time with warning, but with a big cigar in his mouth to repair the door of the room (thanks to the smell). -He regularly allows himself to sit at your table without being invited. This could give a 'friendly' side, except that Christian only talks about himself and his exploits... He has seen and experienced everything, but visibly suffers from acute mythomania given the inconsistencies in his remarks (He talks about women by text message with his friend Lionel Messi during the stay, finds his former neighbor Shakira very boring, regrets the time when he would go for a coffee with Mark Zuckerberg...). -He spends his time saying that all the people on the island are "his friends", but when we talk to them, it's quite the opposite: he is hated by all the inhabitants of the island because he only talks about himself and never lets people express themselves!! -He puts forward political, ecological, social ideas that do not interest us: we are customers, not friends. He repeated several times his love of lion hunting (which he normalizes by tradition in Africa) and his disgust for France which he describes as a "country of sh*t" and "full of Arabs" according to his words. -He speaks extremely badly to his employees in front of you. There was even a rebellion from some employees on the last evening because the owner refused to pay them. So the employees came to see us to tell us that he was horrible to them and that he did not always pay them. -We left quite early on the last day, so I asked Christian the night before to give me the bill. He refused because he was tired. I then retorted that I was going to put a bad comment on Tripadvisor following my stay, but his reaction was extremely aggressive. I quote his response: "I'm going to break your a**". Who can accept such remarks? -He spends his time saying that he knows luxury: but he has neither the codes nor the shoulders. To see his various responses to the negative comments on his Tripadvisor: he gets defensive and never questions himself…. When all the customers think the same thing, there is definitely a problem, right? Finally, the furniture is aging (broken shower door, gloomy decoration, very basic air conditioning in the master bedroom, broken doorknob on the entrance...) and access to the bedroom must be via the bathroom
