i’m from texas, drove all the way here non stop, they were so kind when i walked in and so patient.

Made a reservation a week in advance for a king bed room. Drive 10 hours and wanted to settle in and prepare for the next day. Front desk gave me the keys. Went to unlock the door and the room was already occupied. Went all the way back to front desk and they corrected that by giving me another room. Got to my new room and it had two twin beds. Back down to complain and they told me “There were some unexpected overstays and we had to bump some people. Unfortunately you were relocated to a different room.” (a) they didn’t bother to inform me ahead of time and (b) refused to give me a discount for the room change. Will never stay here again.

Please allow me to share my negative review of the place. As a Marriott member I have expectations that are mainly lived up to at the various Marriott brands I have to visit, however, there is the exception and this place is that HUGE exception. Let me start by saying on two occasions I have had my reservation's canceled by the staff as I am en route to the area. The staff was overly rude, by calling me and yelling at me making demands that I pay the first night stay before arrival (as I am traveling from Virginia). Demanding that I show them proof of my government ID, again as I am traveling. Hanging up on me and then calling me back to only become belligerent, again. Dealing with this location staff was so frustrating and upsetting. I could not help but feel like it was very “profiling” in nature. No apology was ever offered and no effort to show I was appreciated as a customer was or has ever been extended. I would not encourage this location, which is a possible shame as it may be a more suitable location for the area. However, their attitudes certainly are representative to the lack of professionalism, customer service and ability to conduct themselves in any intelligent capacity.

The staff was friendly and helpful giving us our room with a somewhat early arrival. The room was very nicely equipped and clean. We spent the afternoon in the outdoor pool which was very warm and clean. We would definitely stay here again as a stopover when traveling to the Myrtle Beach area. The only negative was the breakfast was somewhat lacking but certainly not bad.

What a great stop off if you are traveling to the East Coast!! The stuff was super friendly and the beds were comfortable. Someone had commented about road noise but we did not hear any. We had a great nights sleep. We will definitely use this location again!

Confirmed reservations are not guaranteed. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and made my reservation on their app. My reservations as well as several of my friends were cancelled by the manager with no help in assisting us to find rooms. She excuses herself by saying we have advance notice to find other accommodations knowing all other hotels are sold out. Don’t trust this hotel.

Made a reservation for 2 rooms at this hotel for the Hot Rod Power Tour. Received an email from the hotel a month later and 4 months before the event saying they had cancelled my reservations because overbooking. Hearing story after story from people attending this same event that they received the same email. They didn’t overbook they just got greedy. Got offered more money from a travel agency needing rooms. DONT book here they don’t know the meaning of the word customer service.

I was charged a $150.00 deposit for any possible damages with out pryor knowledge. I would not have booked this property. The pillows were the worst of any hotel we have ever stayed at!!!! The Breakfast was very underwhelming to say the least. Orange and apple juice were the best things there.

If you need to stay in or near Rockingham NC, this is surely your best bet. Very nice clean property. Comfortable bed, nice room. Very good breakfast buffet included, which among offerings had little crustless quiches, and small egg/cheese biscuits. Service was fine: checking in in the evening, there was no one at the desk for a while, but as it turned out, there was only one person on duty (I guess staffing is an issue in so many places these days) and she was attending to another immediate issue...in any case she was apologetic and comped me the couple of small food items I was going to buy from the front desk "canteen," which I thought was a nice gesture. One small word of caution: avoid the row of rooms on second floor directly above the lobby TV area...there was a group traveling together and watching Sunday night football down there and whooping it up pretty good till rather late, and the noise does travel up to those rooms, just so you know. Room 207, 209, 211 seem to be the ones to avoid.
