Silver Sands

Stay away. This is the grossest hotel ever. We had the “ rehabbed room” I don’t believe that. Floors were new and fine but the rugs they used were disgusting and filthy to the point we never took off our shoes. The quilt on the bed was filthy and smelled like greasy head. We are staying right down the beach from there now, and it is so much nicer… and only a little more money. The daytime hotel front desk person was totally unresponsive and rude and obviously didn’t like her job. The attitude was overwhelming negative. Don’t stay here. Find another spot.

Older hotel right on the amazing beach. Nothing fancy at all , but nice , clean and comfortable. Nothing better than hearing the giant waves crash all night. Great location right in the small town, very walkable. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay

The staff was friendly, the location was great. Located right on the beach with a view from the room. The room was clean, but very bare bones giving off a cold feeling. The bed was old, hard and springy, not comfortable at all. The ceiling had large patches from I'm guessing a leak that had not been finished or painted over. With some maintenance and a little decor this could be a great place.

The lady at the front desk was really nice and polite

The desk person lacked a personality. Confirmed the duration of my stay, had me sign the paperwork, gave me the keys without as much as a hello or goodbye. The key cards to the room worked after tapping 3-4 times - the light on the pad would turn green but the door wouldn't unlock. Upon entering the room, there is a small open closet, the bathroom sink (outside the bathroom) with a mirror, a small shell shaped holder with make up wipes & 2 hotel bottles of shampoo. The room itself consisted of the bed, a night stand, a console that contained a dented mini fridge- however it was cold; a microwave, and a television. A table sat under the window with a coffee pot, coffee, and two chairs. The bathroom had updated tile on the walls in the bathtub. The bathroom sink as mentioned is outside of the bathroom, directly across from the toilet, so if you don't close the door while taking care of business, the mirror is directly in front of you. The positives, the bed is comfortable, the water hot, the view is breathtaking (second floor, with beach and ocean view option). The sandy beach is steps away from the motel. There are nearby restaurants and a convenience store in walking distance. Negatives, dated, office hours are 9am - 9 pm. The location served its purpose - a weekend getaway to a beautiful beach.
