TownePlace Suites Pittsburgh Airport/Robinson Township

This hotel has everything you could want. We had a 2 night trip to visit family. The grill and fireplace area is so nice and inviting. The breakfast was great, lots of choices. I was warmly greeted every time I walked by the front desk. I will definitely stay here next time im in town.

Pool and hot tub were not well maintained. Outside area was also messy. Room was clean, and staff was friendly.

Our 2 night stay in a suite was awesome. Very clean rooms. The pool was heated. The outdoor firepit and seating was nice. I loved the option of being able to borrow items like mixers, board games, etc.

This place has a lot of potential, but there were many small things that added up that really bring it down. 1st- The building needs a general face lift. Though the rooms were generally cleaned, the walls and hallways were streaked with scuffs, hallway carpets dirty, our carpet had a large hole in it (417), stove top was scuffed, etc. 2. The staff team is either very understaffed, or the daytime female and male staff members are very unhelpful. The evening staff member, John was very friendly and helpful! We had several issues during our stay where we needed help- a vacuum, pool towels (which were never stocked and we always had to hunt down), help with our refrigerator, etc. I personally was given either one word answers with no action, or waiting hours after we had asked for something with nothing happening (from the daytime staff). A refrigerator in one room didn’t cool and they offered a replacement refrigerator but said it would take all day for it to cool after being replaced anyway. I realize they can’t help if things break, but there should probably be checks to make sure rooms are functioning as they should. In the end , after condescendingly being told we were already being given the rooms at a discount (they were running a promotion, but I still expect a fully functioning room even if they are running a nation wide promotion) some points were given to us for the refrigerator, but it was after we were told that we could have taken our stuff down to their refrigerator (which was never offered while we were talking through the issue with them). The pool and hot tub was shut down for a day, which was the one day we really could have utilize it. We were told someone puked in either the pool or hot tub. Obviously staff can’t help what bodily functions may happen, but the night prior there were adults drinking in the hot tub, and you would hope that those types of contaminants would be more properly monitored to avoid these types of incidents. They also call themselves an airport hotel but don’t offer an airport shuttle. This place had the amenities to be a nice place, but overall, they fell very short. For the price we paid, I would not choose this location again.
