A quaint little town, great for the wine train and the Grand Hotel is the perfect place to stay. We arrived too late to get a sear on the train, but the owner offered to try and get us seats at the bar on board, however after a long drive chose to stay at the hotel and relax. Our room was gorgeous, stand alone bath, sofas and chairs and 2 large fireplaces. Gardens with sun loungers, cushions and towels and the icing on the cake a newly opened spa. I can honestly say that the 90 min deep tissue massage with Amanda was the best massage I have ever had ( and trust me I've had lots). If only I didn't live 6k miles away I'd definitely be back regularly. Nice breakfast by the pool and varied menu also available throughout the day.

We visited to have a drink and a meal and were truly delighted by the beautiful building and lovely hosts. The gardens are lovely for a pre dinner drink before choosing from their menu. Food was superb, fresh, aromatic and very tasty. We were happy to walk back to our B&B but they insisted we get a lift in their London Black cab. Perfect end to lovely evening.

It is a beautiful hotel and the owners are so welcoming and friendly. Food was yummie, staff friendly. The rooms are huge and most comfortable with a beautiful swimming pool. Choices to eat in the dining room or under the pergola.I will highly recommend The Grand Hotel !

This amazing, completely renovated/refurbished Victorian building offers exceptional accommodation with an amazing courtyard and pool area. Dinner and breakfast are world class with the option of spa treatments should you wish to have a slow start or a relaxing afternoon after exploring the town and surrounding wine farms. Thanks to Mandy for arranging a private tasting at Silverthorn! We will return!

We found the loveliest boutique hotel in Robertson! Beautifully renovated, but still with historic elements from the original hotel. The honeymoon suite is absolute perfection with a fire place in both the bedroom and the bathroom! The breakfast was excellent, and so was the dinner we ordered at the restaurant. Spa treatments are available at the hotel, and they have a cute London taxi and a driver to take you wine tasting around the Robertson wine valley. They organised a special tasting for us with the owner/winemaker at Silverthorn wine estate, and served their bubbles with breakfast! There is a picturesque Park Run at Robertson Wine Estate (just around the corner from the hotel). The golf course at Silwerstrand is world class and also close by. We would definitely come back!

What an exceptional Hotel! The attention to detail is superb, from the beautiful rooms to the hot water bottle placed in the bed. The restaurant food is also outstanding. A must stay for anyone in the area

Great owner operated gem, can highly recommend! Recently refurbed, the hotel is well styled with small attention to detail. Steak for dinner was not great, but breakfast was a good spread. Great pool area with really comfortable loungers

We were in the honeymoon suite, arabella, and the room was incredible, the bed was super comfortable, there’s a fire place in the room, as well as the bathroom, which has a huge bath. The fittings and accompaniments are perfect, modern and you won’t find yourself lacking anything. The kitchen has brilliant food, and the wines that accompany it are unbeatable. The staff are super attentive, especially Paul, he’s brilliant and attentive. Trevor and Mandy, the owners, are so great in terms of hospitality, heart and soul! We were recommended some small boutique wine farms and trips, (those I’ll leave for you to find out) and I can truly say that some of those experiences are so beautiful and unique that if I went back again, I’m sure it wouldn’t be the same. I can not recommend this place enough, it feels like home on every level! Do yourself a favour, if you do go to Robertson, get to the grand Hotel!
