The room was nice, and the view was lovely. The food was generally good, but the staff was wonderful. Particular shout out to the breakfast chef Greg and Crystal McNeely at the spa. They were both lovely, and probably the highlight of my visit.

AVOID - run, don't walk away from staying here. Definitely avoid event plannings (e.g., weddings or business events). I stayed at Kingsmill in September, while in town for business. While there, the hotel noted that they had been hacked and they needed to manually write down my credit card details for each transaction but I should "trust them" - later they said it was an IT systems issue but "oh well, rumors happen" and they told me they could not generate my any type of invoice and to "be patient," not understanding it is common practice to submit invoices for business travel. After patiently waiting 3 weeks for my invoice (still hasn't come), I saw that I was was charged 3 times (on two different credit cards for the full amount $1500+). So $4500 in credit card charges later - I have called and asked to get their help, get sent to voicemail, and no one calls back. Could you imagine running a business this way? No invoices, fraudulent charges, rumors of being hacked. Like I said, stay away. Stay was fine before these issues that said, we experienced major issues with booking tee times, communicating with front desk and tipping staff made it more stressful than it should have been.

The resort rooms are really out dated . No ice machines , room amenities such as coffee and soap were empty . Golf course was a very nice layout but the fairways weren’t cut very well. Grass clippings in the fairway and a little unkempt in some. If you are going to charge resort prices then give resort quality . I was told one price when I booked and paid a $600 deposit . The balance according to the given price should have been another $675 but it was $847 . After I paid it all then I received a notice that they wanted to charge another $600.74 3 weeks after the balance was paid . The entire time we were there , none of the credit card machines worked and everything had to be written down . This place is pretty much a higher end public course .

Planned to go but had to cancel due to other commitments. Very hard to cancel. No way to cancel online. Had to pickup the phone and call a specific number during business hours to cancel as front desk does not do cancellation?! Even that, I had to call twice to get the reservation cancelled. The first time, talked to the rep, was told that the reservation was cancelled with the confirmation number but then received a reminder to check in when the date approached. Had to call again to find out the "cancelled" reservation was not properly cancelled.. Waste of time to be honest.

Stayed at this property Sept 20-23, the computer system was down, so we had to fill out paperwork and write your credit card information so they could charge you for any transactions… On October 2nd I was finally charged my remaining balance that I owed.. Now on October 9th I was charged $993. Which was a mistake.. I immediately called the Resort to dispute the charge, and this is where the nightmare begins.. I was able to contact the Resort and leave my information, this went on for over 3 days, and I still haven’t heard back from the accounting department after leaving several voicemails.. I gave up, and called my Credit Card Company to dispute the charge…

My wife and checked in yesterday for a two night getaway. Our initial room had several yapping dogs in the room next door and the shower did not work so we requested a room change. When we opened the door for the second room THE ROOM WAS ALREADY OCCUPIED! I don’t know how this could happen, it was embarrassing and unsafe for all. After waiting in line again to get a new room we finally got to our third room and the keys did not work so we had to go back and wait in line again. This was a terrible start to our vacation - in fact the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff told me the room looked vacant on their spreadsheet?!?! The front desk manager, Nikki, was the only person who could help as the rest of the staff seemed incompetent and they had to run everything through Nikki. Overall the resort is nice even though a little dated - especially the rooms. That said, the new gym is incredible! We are unlikely to return given I do not feel our situation of going in to an occupied room was taken seriously.

We loved the resort and the massage, manicure and pedicure was awesome. The most enjoyable thing was our singing chef, Greg Walker. Boy can he sing!!! We loved his singing and jolly attitude and the breakfast both days was delicious. We loved everything.

Have stayed here probably 10 times, once a year. We rent two condos, three bedrooms each. Just kind of losing its luster . Taking some shortcuts. Send me and that’s probably not recently cleaned because they don’t get used. The cottages are terrific. A little too expensive for a weekend. But that’s me. We did stay in them two years. Does not help that Busch Gardens itself is declining. That’s a separate review.

The pillows E the fluffiest, and bed was so comfortable. The staff were welcoming and the hot cookie was everything 😍 The pool was so much fun. The grounds were clean. Parking was good eventhough we had to pay each day. I felt safe and secure. Grateful 🙏
