It was so good. It was cheap and convenient because there was a private bathroom and shower room. I am a foreigner and I don't speak English well, but I was grateful that the counter staff was so kind to me ^^

Comfortable and Modern Stay I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The design was simple yet modern, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The room was well-maintained, featuring a spacious and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, adding to the overall comfort. A great choice for a straightforward and enjoyable stay!

Checked in on Friday, the rooms are small but value for money is there. I was greeted and checked in by a lovely lady called Lindsey on reception who was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Later in the evening we got food and drinks also served by Lindsey who was working the bar & kitchen. Definitely a huge credit to Zip as she was serving food, checking in guests aswell as running around making sure everybody was okay. Would definitely have her as an asset to my own team if I lived local. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Perfect accessible room for graduation stay I stayed with the Zip team for five nights while I was in Cardiff for my university graduation, job interviews and some celebrations. As a wheelchair user, I could not fault the accessible room. There was ample turning space, a non-slip en-suite wet room with grab rails, shower seat and emergency pull cords. Everything was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The reception and bar area was welcoming; you could order food and drink from the bar or bring in a takeaway if you preferred. Outside, the ramp had a sensible, gentle incline that made coming and going easy. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, especially as the accessible room was not priced higher than the standard rooms. Big shout out in particular to Ayesha – what a lovely and hardworking lady!

Decent quality accommodation for a work stay over, it has what you need a bed, a TV and a shower. Rooms are basically "pods" They don't have outer windows but do have either a panel screen or a LED one where you can set the colour (bit of a novelty but does the job). Shower is fairly powerful all be it the cubicle is a bit small for chunky blokes. Rooms are nice and quiet at night and pitch black so good night's sleep, the bed is either two singles or push them together for a double. Obviously a basic room so no hairdryer or kettle but there's a bar downstairs where you can get a cuppa from. The bar does have offers on on 4 for bottles or a curry/pizza and pint for £10, limited menu but the food on it is off decent quality and no different from a "proper" Premier Inn. Only gripe this time was the price, obviously a "supply & demand" week due to graduations in Cardiff usually pay £30-50 but went to £88 this stay (still cheaper than the others but the rooms no different than what it was last time I stayed)

What can I say about this hotel ? Not a lot usually you get what you pay for but this cost me over £400 for the smallest room I have ever had the pleasure of being in ! Yes it was clean but that’s where the good points end Two very small beds with a WC and shower on either side of door that someone a bit larger than your average person would struggle to use ! I had to get ready while my son waited outside as it was near impossible for both of us to do that at once Air con was so noisy and the pretend window hidden behind a blind didn’t open 🤣 Free parking was a bonus and cheap drink but I certainly wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re getting it for free

We stayed for 1 night ready to attend a Lego event the following day. We go round the country raising money for Autism. The idea of these pod rooms are great, as it's just what we needed ( just a room to sleep over ) We happened to be there on the hottest day in Cardiff ( 36°c on the way in the car ) The air con in the room was fantastic 😀. These are perfect for stays. There is a bar and lounge area in the hotel, which do good deals with food. ( Curry & a drink for £10) You can also get a bacon bap and drink for breakfast for £4.50. The staff are excellent and very helpful with anything you need. Will definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

The hotel was convenient, close to the city, the room was clean, and the air con was great in the very hot weather. The bad part, I paid £186 for two nights on the tenth and eleventh of July if I book the same room again on the seventh and eights of August it is £82, this is because there were events on in the city (James and the Stereophonic). I find this price hike a bit of a let-down of what could have been a pleasant stay!

I stay here the night before if I have work in the area the next day (it's not quite far enough for my work to have to pay for it so the price was what most attracted me). Usually combine this with a quick visit to some family and prep for the next day. Can't stay with family as I need quiet and my family are NOT quiet! It's cheap as chips, clean and welcoming. It's not 5star so don't expect that. It's a quiet place to get your head down and get some work done. If you're working, pay for the premium WiFi, it's about a fiver and worth it. I actually prefer the rooms with the light boxes rather than a window as the windows seem to be tinted so you get more light with a light box room. It's a capsule hotel without the claustrophobia. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Showers are great. Parking is free and plentiful. Close to shops and easy access to main roads. Never had brekky as I'm either leaving too early or I dash into Morrisons nearby for brekky. I sleep with headband earbuds so no idea if it's loud, don't think so. There are a lot of contractors who stay there and you'd expect them to be loud but it's never been my experience. Also once stayed there with my kid for a gig, it's just about big enough for an adult and child but I wouldn't want to be 2 Adults in there, you'll be tripping over each other.
