Quirky place! Check out the odd carvings and plentiful charging stations! Great for proximity to beautiful forests and waterfalls. Abundant bird life. Restaurant is really terrific. Accommodation is spacious. We enjoyed the pool. Recommended!

Estuve con mi esposo celebrando su cumpleaños x segunda vez aquí,pero lamentablemente fue la última, no recomiendo para nada este lugar,para empezar la comida demasiado mala,cocinan sin sal no sabe a nada. Por la noche cenamos y no nos ofrecieron nada para tomar ,aparte pague una decoración en la habitación y fue algo tan sencillo tan básico que no valió lo que me cobraron. Lástima que el lugar es bonito pero no saben nada de administración no saben como cuidar un cliente y así pierden muchos.

Hotel dont les chambres sont assez petites, mais pour une nuit ce n est pas grave, et le cadre est tout simplement magnifique : une vue imprenable sur les montagnes, une piscine qui donne envie d y plonger, des fleurs partout avec des colibris tout autour de vous, des oiseaux multicolores.... rien que pour cela je vous conseille de vous y arrêter. Un repas du soir peu couteux et satisfaisant, et un petit déjeuner sympathique, av"ec un personnel qui fait tout pour vous aider. A conseiller

J'ai été enchantée! J'ai séjourné à l'hôtel El Pelicano les nuits avant et après mon ascension du Chirripo. Le personnel est au petit soin et vous permet de laisser vos bagages pendant votre ascension si besoin. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est situé dans une magnifique salle bien décorée à l'ambiance montagnarde (grande cheminée, poutres en bois, tables chaleureuses). Le petit-déjeuner est succulent!! La piscine et ses alentours sont très agréables. Seul petit bémol: l'insonorisation dans les chambres. Mais franchement, vous dormirez comme un loir après votre randonnée!

Lovely facility! I would highly recommend! Everything was well cared for and spotless. The staff were helpful, friendly and thoughtful. The view was stunning and all the plants and flowers with all the birds and butterflies was gorgeous. The little art gallery was an amazing adventure! A must see!

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cette hôtel, une avant et une au retour de notre ascension au Cerro Chirripo. L'accueil y a été parfait pour les deux nuitées. Les extérieurs de l' hôtel sont très bien entretenus. La piscine est suffisamment grande. Les chambres sont suffisamment spacieuses. en revanche la literie est très moyenne, et ça dans les deux chambres où nous avons dormi. L'eau chaude est extrêmement longue à arriver à la douche. Les repas au restaurant sont très corrects.

El Pelicano hotel in the mountains is Truly a beautiful spot to take in the views, mountains, nature, birds, pleasant climate. The staff is exceptional A+, the ambiance is exactly what we had hoped to find! The restaurant is very nice with a good menu selection and the included breakfast is super fresh! The price of a room is very reasonable as well as the dining here! This hotel gets a top rating for hospitality, ambiance and quality for the price!

Excelene Hotel, habitaciones limpias y bonitas, menu gastronomico exquisito, y lo mejor el personal, siempre atento, dispuesto a ayudar en todo. Es la mejor atencion al cliente que he visto en hoteles. Definitivamente es una excelente opcion escoger el Hotel de Montaña El Pelicano. Recomendaria 100 veces visitarlo, van a tener una grata experiencia de alojamiento cada vez que lo visiten, desde la llegada hasta la salida.

Yes, this hotel has nice gardens and had a good location near the national park, but the rooms are simply awful. Ours had two beds and a small wood-burning fireplace in the middle of the room and that was it! This place has potential, but the utter lack of amenities (most of which cost very little) is shocking. Here is only a partial list of what was missing from our room: No hand towels. No cups for water. Poor lighting. One single harsh bulb in center of the room. No bedside lamp. Small wood burning fireplace was filthy with ashes. Evidence of bat or rodent feces on the bed sheets. No table. One single cheap plastic chair was brought for us to sit on. No place to put suitcases or personal items except on the floor. Wonky lock on the sliding glass front door that could easily be forced open. No blankets. Just thin sheets and a faded worn bedspread. No hooks anywhere to hang anything. No waste basket. I regret we spent the money to stay here.
