Frontier Drive Inn

Watching a movie on a big screen (former drive in) outside under the stars sitting in a folding chair with a down blanket and popcorn/ fabulous!!!! Worth the effort. I don’t like the trend of no on site managers and no response to email but i understand from an economic point of view it is necessary. Some emails were answered and some went unanswered. It’s a well taken care of property.

I thought this would be a funky and memorable place take a weekend trip and it did not disappoint. There were so many details that I did not expect: a great lawn for viewing movies, cute matching chairs, freshly popped popcorn, fire pits outside the yurts, cool led lighting everywhere, bedside mints, fluffy towels, etc. It was super clean and comfortable. I wasn’t really into the movie, but that didn’t matter. We stayed out on the lawn to watch for awhile, then went back by the fire pit to hang out. I can’t wait to go back. San Luis Valley also has the Gator farm, Penitente Canyon, Great Sand Dunes, Mountain biking, and so much more!

Highly recommend! Absolutely fantastic overnight stay at Frontier! The area was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the sunrise with a cup of coffee on the patio and the close proximity to the Sand Dunes. We'll be back soon!

So so I wouldn’t come here when it’s hot, lack of air conditioning in the rooms is not enjoyable. Also grass area is full of mosquitos and hard to enjoy a film depending on time of year

Great experience! Everything was perfect on our stay. It was super clean, excellent service. Would definitely stay here again.

The Frontier Inn is a hidden Jem almost surreal! All good there but very limited choices for convenience stores and supermarkets near by. If you plan to stay there make sure to bring your own provisions ! I would go back there again ! AP
