I'm staying at this hotel now, and I have stayed here previously as well. It is an efficient and well-run place. But I have felt little respect for even repeat clients. I arrived from São Paulo this morning at 9 and was told that my room was available, and there was no one in it, but nevertheless, I needed to wait until 1:30 pm to enter the room unless I wanted to pay an additional 300 R. Then, since I needed to wait four hours (for no reason) to get into my room, I went to have some coffee and fruit at the breakfast buffet. An attendant approached me 20 minutes later to tell me I needed to pay 90R since I was not yet a registered guest. This was deeply insulting, and is also a very stupid business model. Why would you NOT try to accommodate a repeat customer who pays thousands of dollars at your hotel by allowing them into the empty room a bit early, or giving them access to your coffee and buffet, half of which is going into the garbage anyhow? Very shortsighted business model. I like this hotel for its efficiency and for its location--let's face it, it is the only good hotel near the city center-- but the lack of respect for me as a repeat client makes me unsure about wanting to stay here in the future. By the way, I also speak good Portuguese and have been working here for 30 years, so I do have some perspective.
Novotel RJ Praia de Botafogo

To be fair it’s not bad but there is significant variability in room condition. Mine was OK but others had a lot of age Ing and unrepaired damage. Location is very good. Restaurant is basic but the food reflects the price and there is plenty of choices nearby. Have to say that cleanliness was first class. No ability to sign to rooms so be prepared to pay right there and then for everything. Would I stay again yes for business no for pleasure.
Windsor California Copacabana

We booked a standard room and got a standard room--despite ******* leading us to believe that we'd get an upgrade. And that's OK, but we were very disappointed that one of the rooms allotted to us (we had booked 2 rooms) had water seepage. Plus, despite our request--made one day earlier--that we get two rooms next to each other, we were given rooms on different floors. This is inexcusable because the hotel had ample time to give us two rooms next to each other: we didn't check in until 8 am the NEXT morning (our flight landed at 6 am and I didn't want to not be able to nap--in case we felt like it--after a long flight and jet lag), and I emailed them the previous morning. Then, after promising to have a new room ready for us in 30 minutes, it took them an hour to do so, while my wife and daughter were made to wait in the lobby. More than the delay, it was the lack of courtesy--for example, my wife had to proactively go to the desk and ask for updates about when the room would be ready, rather than the front-desk person providing it to her--that was more bothersome. In addition to these problems, one of the rooms (605) we have has a bathroom door that's stuck--it doesn't open or close easily. I haven't bothered to complain about this because I am sharing the room with a family member (so it's OK if the door isn't fully shut) and we are only now here for one more night anyway. Last year, we stayed Windsor Copacabana, which is definitely less plush, but it is also much (more than 2 times) less expensive, and I feel that you at least get your money's worth there. This is not to say that everything is bad. The staff are friendly and (although we aren't staying in one), the ocean facing rooms (I got a glimpse into one of them) look great. The location is amazing as well, and the view at the top (swimming pool, restaurant, gym) level is very nice.

Zona Oeste do Rio de Janeiro
I liked the hotel very much, for me q I'm going to work in Rio is perfectly suited. If it's tourism I think q can be a little far from the most badly placed places. Clean room, great bathroom and relatively silicon. If you go back to the river in the Jacarepaguá region I will host here again.

Ball show! The reception, especially Alex, a great professional, very careful; you are in congratulations! If you allow me, you could make a partnership with the Zeca Bar, located next to Vogue, on a package including entry, where both give a benefit to customers. Thank you!

Dear Sirs, One of the best places one could stay in Rio de Janeiro. Very good structure inside the building and rooms. Very good breakfast and the Stilo Restaurant in the lobby near the pool. The SPA is very nice and having sauna and jacuzzi. Overall the experience has been more than satisfactory and it has been very nice to feel the hotel cares about its guests. Sometimes I had to leave to run some errands but there would always be someone of the staff keeping an eye on my Mother when I was not around. Thank you all heaps for the great stay and I shall be back! I also should make a remark I usually stay about one month in every hotel I go and therefore I have all the elements to express a legit opinion. A good hotel does feel like you are actually home and Laghetto is exactly like that. Kudos for all and most obliged once more! Anyway, I did hear the rumor that a staff member is about to write a mystery book portraying the Laghetto Stilo and all the staff as the actual book characters. Ain’t it tops? Another staff member working in the Stilo restaurant is a great singer and you see a great deal of talented people out and about, which depicts the hotel as a power force not only as a great place to stay but as well as a place where true talent runs in the veins. The drinks are superb and the food is so fine that you can come back from the beach and feast. In a certain way, Laghetto Stilo does remind me when I was a little child in Wales, where every summer I could watch the very same scenes from the hotel where I used to stay. Art, memories, nice people and a nice infrastructure. What else could someone wish for? I do enjoy a place where talent runs around and besides that, even the linen is top quality and so are the rooms. The access to the beach is very easy and all in all, the place grows on you as times passes by. Not actually willing to carry coals to Newcastle, I found here a great atmosphere and that’s the same one others should experience. They will try to accommodate every demands, or simple whims and they are all deeply experienced staff bearing know how enough to grant you what you are asking for or very close of it. The pool is enough, the hotel needs not to portray any ostentation because what they have is enough. It’s like finding a pot of gold belonging to a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow, only this time, the leprechaun will share his gold with you. Keep up with the great job! My very special thanks to the following reception staff members: *Alex * Gael * Aline * Carla * Raianny * Kivya * Evelyn * Matheus * Felipe * Cristian * Cláudio * Daniel * Mário Also my very special thanks to the messengers: *Robert * Alexandro * Carlos * Michael * Alexandre * Ronald * Gabriel * Luis If I really wanted to be quintessentially picky, I would suggest a couple of things: 1) At some point the towels were available directly at the pool site, but now they are at the reception, and the staff, already busy, still has to deal with deliv
