Ritz Copacabana Boutique Hotel

We were not informed at check-in that drinks and snacks in the minibar would be charged. There was only a card in the room that stated that a coffee capsule costs the equivalent of around €1.60 - nothing more. Accordingly, we helped ourselves to the minibar (mainly water). We stayed in the hotel for a total of 8 nights, towards the end of our stay we were charged for all the snacks and water (around 2 euros per 330 ml bottle). When we asked why we weren't told about this from the start or why there was NOTHING like that to be found in our room (apart from the note about the coffee capsule), we received no answer and had to pay the entire amount, whether or not 8 days was of course not a small amount. Because the colleagues at the reception didn't speak good English or could barely speak English, the service was correspondingly subpar. In a hotel like this it should actually be assumed that the colleagues at the reception can speak English. Conclusion: no recommendation, for the money spent there are far better hotels that are worth the money.

Bedroom and bathroom with great spacing! Very well located, almost on the corner I came to Av Atlantica, in front of gas station 5. So, you can go for walks with ease. Breakfast is diverse and very tasty. Friendly staff, highly recommend and want to come back!

rundum zufrieden! - stilvolle Einrichtung, top Sauberkeit, gute Lage und vor allem ausgezeichnetes Personal Das Personal in allen Bereichen (Rezeption, Bar, Frühstück, Restaurant, Housekeeping, ...) ist sehr freundlich, motiviert und macht eine ausgezeichnete Arbeit! Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich Williams Service an der Bar, welcher mit sehr hoher Kompetenz und Motivation ausgezeichnete Cocktails zaubert! Zudem war er offen für Gespräche über Land und Kultur und hat uns damit einen noch besseren und authentischeren Einblick in dieses wunderschöne Land gegeben. Vielen Dank William, dass du uns so einen schönen letzten Abend geschenkt hast! Wir wünschen dir und deiner Familie von ganzem Herzen nur das Allerbeste! VERBESSERUNGSPOTENTIAL FÜR DIE HOTELBESITZER: In Brasilien ist es üblich, fast alles ausschließlich mit Kreditkarte zu bezahlen. Normalerweise ist es auch selbstverständlich, dass man dem Personal über die Kreditkarte Trinkgeld geben kann. Das ist im Ritz jedoch leider NICHT der Fall... Was sich folglich vermutlich enorm auf die Trinkgeldsumme der Mitarbeiter auswirkt, die es aber SEHR verdient hätten! Wenn jemand eine sehr gute Arbeit leistet, sollte dies auch mit Trinkgeld belohnt werden dürfen! Bitte überdenken Sie hier nochmals Ihre Regelungen... Wir mussten so extra Bargeld wechseln, um Trinkgeld geben zu können....
