The room was dirty and in desperate need of redecoration. The bathroom tiles need a good scrub as they were dirty in places and full of black mould. Definitely not worth the cost of the room. We had three rooms for our stay and all had the same issues. We chose not to stay for breakfast because of the cleanliness concerns although the pub did look fine. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

You get the strong feeling it used to be a nice pub once. Squishy leather sofas, curious objects in glass cases, carefully chosen prints kind of deal. Barman poured my pint, then topped it up with the drip-tray. Very odd. Tasted ok. If it had been earlier in the night, I might have objected! Think the latest opening place in the hubbub, glitz and glammer that is ringwood on a Tuesday.

I completed the online check in two days before our stay. At the end of the process there was an option to send a message with any questions that I had. I took this option and asked if it would be possible to use the car park before check in (we didn't need an early check in). I never got a response to that message. When we arrived and I spoke to someone inside to ask about using the car park, I was told that I would have to pay the (very expensive) parking fees until the official check in time of 2pm. Had I been given that information in a timely way when I asked, I would have chosen to park elsewhere earlier in the day. That was very disappointing. As part of online check-in I ordered 2 x continental breakfasts. The breakfast menu stated that soya milk would be available but at breakfast we were told that they had no non-dairy milk available. This substantially reduced my companion's menu choices. We both chose a piece of fruit as one of our breakfast menu options, requesting bananas if they had them. On checking, the waitress came back to say that there were only 2 apples and 1 orange available. We were the first two down to breakfast on Saturday and we saw 7 other people come in after us so we were very surprised that so little fruit was available. On the whole, our stay was ok: the room was clean and the beds were comfy, but overall I found its price point too high for the standard provided. If I were to stay in the area again I would seek an alternative.

Came here with my family the other day for a bite to eat and we were do impressed with the service. The food was outstanding honestly compliments to the chef. The bar team were exceptional aswell. They worked so well as a team and everything was out so swiftly. We also love that they allow dogs too as we will definitely bring our pup next time too!

Likes: Room clean, bed comfortable, bedding and towels very clean. Wardrobe with plenty of hangers, portable fan, spare bedding and towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Mirrored dressing table with three drawers. Plenty of hot water, kettle, coffee, tea etc. There was a nice atmosphere in the hotel, staff I encountered worked hard to meet my food and drink requirements and provide advice about local amenities. The two cask ales were well kept and well-priced, especially on Mondays with reduced prices. Food prices were budget level. Except for one croissant, the continental breakfast was good value as was the vegetable chilli, and the fish, chips, and peas. Plenty of free parking on site. Free WiFi. Dislikes: Exterior windows etc. all need a good facelift. I asked for a quiet room and was disturbed throughout the nights by a loud fan near my window. It was hot weather, so needed to keep my window open. Food I ate was very variable. The Hunters chicken was very dry, the pies very poor and at the start of my stay my croissant was heated too long, dry, and very brown. No part of breakfast was self-service and cereals brought with milk already on them.

I booked 3 night stay with group of friends who were cycling in the area. I left after 2 nights as pub was dated, with even more dated bedrooms. Everywhere is in need of updating. Staff friendly. We had breakfast and dinner, food was good pub grub. Service was slow. I stayed in room 10. It was corridor like, dark and gloomy. There was one small window which looked out under stairs to rooms on upper level. Outside area has rubbish and debris on ground. The carpet was stained and worn No storage space. No cupboards or drawers . Tiny bedside shelf only. Overbath shower had poor temperature control. Towels were clean. Bedlinen clean. Bed mattress was very soft

Only called in for a meal but might book in a stay next time. The pub was spotless, the staff and the customers were so friendly and the background music was really uplifting. I have eaten in lots of Marston pubs but the ambience and food here surpasses them all I ordered chicken kebab and chips and my partner has fish and chips. Both meals were cooked to perfection and presented nicely. Definitely a pub to try.
