I stayed at the hotel last week (late May 2022) and the receptionists were actually quite nice and friendly. However the service at the lobby bar was concerning. After waiting over 20 min for my food, I walked over to the bar where I had to wait for another 10 min for the staffs to acknowledge my presence (while busily socializing with each other). I politely informed them about my food situation, and they said the food should be out in any min. I waited at the counter for another 10 min, then I saw the staff grabbing the food (which was already out sitting there for the past 15 min at least), and gave it to me. The food was just cold (hamburger and fries), so I asked them why that was the case. The staff immediately looked embarrassed and said it was a "mistake", then awkwardly offered to microwave (like seriously?) the burger and fries. I had to convince them to make me a new plate. Did they think I would not notice how cold the food was and eat anyway? And after making me wait, ignoring me the entire time, deliberately giving me cold food, the best they could offer was reheating the food...? The preferential treatment was very obvious, as other customers were getting their food and service just fine. I was left wondering if the service is either bad service in general or only to persons of color. Disappointment.
