Casavilla Rentals by Torre a Cona

We have stayed here for many years in one of the farmhouses. Excellent facilities with stunning views over the Chianti countryside. We played tennis at a local club, so Torre a Cona perfectly situated and also to explore Florence. The swimming pool has stunning views too.

Simply wonderful! The facility was upgraded during Covid and everything is in great shape. Rooms are quite spacious and well planned. Very good water pressure in the spacious bathroom. A beautiful saltwater swimming pool to laze by. Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The wine tasting experience was professional and good value.

We stayed one night in the hotel and 8 in Giardino. The hotel is in all respects quite lovely with full amenities, beautifully appointed, comfortable with stunning views and classic Tuscan views. My wife and I had different opinions about the breakfast. She loved it. I am fastidious about the coffee. The self-serve coffee was little better than in an American diner and I have never found Italian breakfasts appealing - lots of cake and sweet pastries. The one dinner we had together at the hotel was good without being exceptional and therefore expensive for the price. The property had also started to accept large group visits and unfortunately there was one at the time we stayed. This not only caused a number problems during the planning and booking process for my own special event with 13 people but also ended up in several of our party who had hotel reservations being asked to have a makeshift breakfast one day in another location as the Osteria restaurant had been closed off for a group event. The villa experience was good as usual and in some respects better as the property has invested in a private swimming pool for Casa Villa and Fienile. A super addition for those booking apartments in Casa Villa or Fienile! There a couple of extra touches I would like to see management adding Most of all a pair of oven gloves ! We were cooking for 13 people a couple of nights and how those gloves would have helped! Cutting knives should also be a lot sharper. We had to call up to the hotel to see if we could get sharper ones for preparing fish ) insuccès as it turns out) There was also a personal touch missing on this visit that was there on all previous visits including a welcome letter and a bottle of wine and a small basket of goodies. We had booked this property for 13 people and ordered catering for a special birthday celebration and it was strange that one of our party received a welcome letter and a bottle of wine in appreciation of their continued loyalty but not us. Food for thought! Despite these hiccups, the support from the staff was second to none. Hats off again to Livia for working so hard on putting together the birthday event On the front desk Cate was amazing. She helped us out with every request we had whether transport needs, suggestions for walks and restaurant bookings. One final suggestion. My wife fell on the steep stairs up to the massage room in the tower next to the main swimming pool. This may have been avoided with better lighting at the bottom of the stairwell.

Beautiful, elegant snd complete luxury. The rooms are large and beds very comfortable. The bathroom has a beautiful soak in tub and amazing shower. We attended s family wedding, which was fantastic. Staff very accommodating snd helpful. The grounds are stunning and magical for pictures. Food was good a bit pricey. The breakfast was delicious and great variety. Great place for couples for a R&R vacation.

What an incredible experience! This historic estate 🏰 truly captures the essence of elegance and charm. From the moment we arrived, the warm, welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The rich history of the property adds a special touch to everything, and the estate’s wine selection was simply outstanding. We loved sipping on their finest while taking in the breathtaking views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. My wife and I can’t wait to return and relive the magic. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of luxury, history, and hospitality!

On behalf of Josh and myself, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all. Italy will now always hold a very special place in our hearts and you were all a part of making it so special. Deborah and Catarina at reception you were instrumental in helping navigate all our weird and wonderful requests as well as helping us navigate Florence. Max was hilarious and informative on our vineyard tour - we especially thank him for his recommendation to visit to Antico Forno Le Valli a beautiful little bakery. It was so delicious. Thank you to Jorge on the bar for the wonderful drinks and giggles. Thank you to Guilio for a great dining experience, that florentina steak was delicious. The entire restaurant team were phenomenal and made each meal a delight. Shout out to Silvia for making our very first wine tasting experience one to remember and arranging for us to purchase our own bottle opener to take home. And last but not least thank you to Thomas at the pool bar who kept us cool and refreshed with the ever flowing drinks and frozen treats.
