Een hemel op aarde met de engel Hannelore als gastvrouw. Mooie locatie, kamers top in een oude maar vooral zeer gezellige stijl en geen tv, zalig. Ontbijt verrukkelijk, lekker met een persoonlijke toets. Niet simpel om in de omgeving een taxi te pakken te krijgen! Gastvrouw deed al het nodige om oplossing te vinden en met succes, bedankt Hannelore en hopelijk tot nog eens. Groetjes, Stefaan en Nathalie x

Slecht 1 overnachting met ontbijt gedaan, maar zeker 100% tevreden. Een fijne gastvrouw, eenvoudige maar mooie kamer, uitstekend ontbijt. Een karakteristiek oud gebouw, modern en functioneel ingericht. Gastvrouw Annelore mag trots zijn.

Super vriendelijke mensen, alles tot in de puntjes in orde! Ik zou dit aan iedereen aanraden. Perfecte uitvalsbasis om te wandelen en fietsen. Het eten is heel uitgebreid, en alles even lekker! Ik kijk er al naar uit om er nog een keer te komen, even een écht vakantiegevoel.

Net drie dagen verbleven in Het Bakhuis van de Zwarte Stok. Deze accomodatie geeft een bijzondere mix van een zeer rustiek interieur met moderne toetsen, zoals vloerverwarming en een Inductiekookplaat. De kookhoek is zeer beperkt van mogelijkheden, qua ruimte als ook van uitrusting. Een kleine koelkast en combi-oven zijn wel aanwezig. De inductiekookplaat heeft slechts twee bekkens. Om af te wassen is er slechts één kleine gootsteen. Wie overweegt op zijn vakantie uitgebreid te gaan koken, kan hier maar beter rekening mee houden. Bij aankomst bleek de woning aangenaam warm. Echter stelden we vast dat het haast onmogelijk was de temperatuur te verminderen, hoe we ook de thermostaat aanpasten. Uiteindelijk was het eerder onaangenaam warm, op het tropische af. Toch jammer in deze tijden van energieschaarste. De bedden en matrassen waren naar onze smaak zeer comfortabel; niets op aan te merken. Er staat een piepkleine TV in de woonruimte welke enkel werkt via ChromeCast, dus via je eigen abbonnement bij Telenet of Proximus. Op zich geen bezwaar, maar om Chromecasting mogelijk te maken, moet zowel de smartphone als de Chromecast module op hetzelfde wifi net zitten. Laat nu juist dat wifi net zéér zwak zijn, waardoor nog de smartphone, noch Chromecast een stabiele verbinding maken. Wifi hopeloos dus en géén tv mogelijk. Uiteindelijk keken we op een meegebrachte laptop via 4G naar TV. Nog enkele kleine details: slechts één rol WC-papier voor drie personen gedurende drie dagen. Voor elke bewoner één handdoek voorzien. In de keukenhoek geen sponsjes voorzien voor de afwas. Over het algemeen was ons verblijf geslaagd, maar de eigenaars zouden mits enkele kleine aanpassingen het niveau nog behoorlijk kunnen opkrikken: o.a. een performante internetverbinding is de dag van vandaag onontberlijk.
