Four Points by Sheraton Richmond VA We stayed at this decent looking hotel in mid May. It didn’t look like the photos but the public areas were delightful to look at and well maintained, until you looked closely. There was shoddy painting around every corner and caulking where the edges of everything didn’t meet. The floors were littered with tiny debris, like the broom hadn’t been cleaned, ever. The “restaurant” was small yet cozy. It was also the source of my second compliant. The online menu was completely inaccurate. The food options listed online made the meals read like a gourmet dining experience. What we found was a poorly photocopied, 1 page menu of 9 items total. (I’ve added photos of various things, this menu included). My future son-in-law was most disappointed that the beer offerings listed were apparently 6 months out of date! The food tasted like it had all been frozen, microwaved and served on cold plates. Apparently, the head cook was sick so they were doing the best they could. Breakfast was supposed to be at 6:30 am but at 7:15 we were given the excuse that the cook was a no call-no show and they had to wait for the backup cook. The whole experience seemed like a huge “bait and switch” to our group. The bar had an extremely limited selection but the drinks they made were tasty. The beer selection, as mentioned before, was not what was listed online and the offerings were less than stellar. I can’t speak to the design of all the rooms, but the suite we had was spacious. While we were missing the reclining chair in our room that was on the photos, that didn’t matter nearly as much as the unfortunate bathroom layout. The shower was about 4 feet left to right by 24 inches deep with glass sliding doors. This gave about 24 inches for the toilet alcove next to it. The wife and I aren’t tiny, if you catch my meaning, so functionally using the toilet in a coffin was unpleasant. I removed the toilet paper dispenser from the wall to allow for a little extra room. The room AC unit was mounted under the window and the control was on the wall to the main room. Neither worked. The room was in control and we had no ability to control the temperature in any way. What the room wanted to be, it was so. All hail the will of the temperature gods. Appearance: 2 out of 5 Food: 1 out of 5 Value: 1 out of 5 Evaluation: rebrand as a Motel 6 so people can expect less.

I want to review the hotel and the assistance provided by Dionna Geter. My fiancée' and I came to the Four Points Sheraton as a backup after our original hotel block for our wedding next week was not going to work--different review. Dionna and her teammate at the counter worked with us to set up 10 reservations, book the bridal suite, take care of reservations for all of our guests and then make sure that we paid the difference in hotel costs so that our guests were not subject to unexpected costs. I have worked and even owned businesses in the customer service industry, and I have never seen as strong a customer service showing as I saw yesterday. They were patient with us. They worked with us to get the reservations and double checked everything. They stayed calm, which helped me and my bride. They were just the best. I haven't even stayed at the hotel yet because the wedding is next weekend, but I know that we will be treated well because of Dionna and her team. If service matters to you, then I'm going to tell you that what happened yesterday rivals some of the service that I've received at much-higher priced, 5-star business hotels. Great job Dionna and team. You've made a huge fan.

Lots of parking space and easy access to the main road.

Disappointed. This will not be on my list again. No service at check in. No luggage carts, no one cared.Booked an upper floor room with a view of what they call lake. It's a puddle. Had to have rooms changed twice because the view was of the roof top. The room stayed in was out of necessity it was getting late. view was a joke. Rooms are small, spare and expensive for some other "premier hotels". Entry light bulb needed to be changed again no one cared. Only two towels, dangerous shower, no hand rails. Check out was a hassle as needed a luggage cart "we'll see what we can do" was the reply. Received one to see there were at least 6 in the lobby, Restaurant was adequate, bartender friendly.

no water When we arrived on the first day we were told the water was out but would be back on at 5 pm. We spent the day moving boxes and had a meeting at 6:30 needless to say the water was not back on by 5 pm. We used bottle water to take a bath before out meeting.
