We booked into this hotel for a full week thinking that a 4 star hotel with a restaurant would be able to satisfy our needs. This means a decent night sleep and a place for a meal after doing business all day. Imagine our surprise when after a full day of work coming back and going to the restaurant for a quick decent meal only to be told that if you don’t have a reservation you won’t be able to be served. There were at least half the tables unoccupied but they said they were for people with reservations later on. We went to management and expressed our surprise and discontent with the situation. We said that we would have expected that a few tables would be set aside for hotels guests. They apparently hadn’t thought of that and said they will look at it for the future. Totally useless. Need to rethink the rest of our week. Can’t go with food for 7 days Don’t stay here if you get hungry.

My wife and I have been loyal members of the Marriott Bonvoy program since 2018 and have consistently used the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card throughout our time with Marriott. However, I am writing to address a recent situation that has left us quite frustrated. I made a reservation at the Richmond Marriott, which I have frequented multiple times as part of my work-related travel. Unfortunately, on our way to the hotel, we encountered an unforeseen issue that prevented us from arriving as scheduled. I acknowledge that I was marked as a no-show and have taken responsibility for the situation, I was charged full price for the room . I did not have a problem since I failed to cancel. After paying the full amount I was advised that I would not recieve rewards/points. It seems contradictory to charge customers the full rate for a room while denying them the rewards points that come with it, especially for a loyal and long-standing member of the Marriott family. This experience was disappointing, particularly regarding how it was handled by the staff member I spoke with, Ashley. I had hoped for a more understanding approach given my history with Marriott. This situation has made me reconsider my future loyalties.

I had a very comfortable stay at the Richmond Marriott. It was conveniently located next to the Convention Center where my meeting was located. Check-in and check-out was fast, and the staff was courteous. The room was quiet, and the bed was perfect. The only downside is that the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy, especially after dark.

I was disappointed! Service at from desk was poor: she did the minimum message just to check us in. Couldn’t provide any assistance with the area ( restaurants or sight seeing). The room looked ok but then I dropped something and looked under the bed… well, it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The lounge was very busy . They ran out of diet soda and once I asked had no idea when they might have it…. The bright side was the very pleasant Anna in the lounge.
