Rosslea Hall Hotel

Very nice environment, service and view, really enjoyed the 2 nights stay. My dog was very happy too, got a free sausage each morning

The bathroom had an overpowering smell of damp and the Xpelair was not working. The toilet roll holder was rusty, shower screen seal torn, campground the window frames and the shampoo dispenser was broken. We reported the faults on day one but no other dog friendly rooms were available. We then used the downstairs toilets but one cubicle had a broken toilet door and another had no toilet paper. Sitting in the garden it was overrun with weeds and the furniture badly needs stained and tightened. Some of the pavers on the stairs were loose and posed a real trip hazard. We twice had to go to reception in order to get served at the bar. When checking out, the duty manager apologised and offered us a complimentary stay and meal if we left our email with him. He asked to be given 48 hours. 7 days later I am writing this review having heard nothing. Likely he did this as two other couples were waiting to check out at the same time. This hotel has an immense amount of work needing done and highly likely it will be downgraded to a 3 star when next inspected unless major works are undertaken. Hugely disappointing facilities and service.
